We arrived and were met by very helpfull staff, we were given top floor in a quiet corner of the hotel.rooms are dated but bedding seemed clean. Hotel was noisy with people running around the corridor and a strong smell of herbs burning!!! Rooms are not ensuite The shower and toilet are shared porta loo type. On our return at 1am we were met by bouncers and police which at least made us feel safe! We were told there was no food left and we could only get a soft drink despite people been served sandwiches afterwards! Through the night our door was tried several times and we were woken by various arguments!

I stayed here one night with my two children. Never again. Getting into the building was a mission in itself - no one to advise where to go, not even a note on the door to say 'go next door'. The room was miniscule; one double bed and a high sleep bunk over the top. Carpet worn and filthy (dust under the bed). The nearest toilet & shower (which were both filthy) were a good walk down the corridor. Whilst taking a trip to the loo was met on the corridor by a naked man. The noise was awful. It was like a scene from a bad comedy. Couldn't wait for morning to arrive. Never again.

Just back from staying at this hotel and must admit we found it brilliant for the price! Was there with a group of girls.. Place is spotless and staff are great. Rooms are very basic but you can't expect any less for all you pay! Can be noisy at nights but that didn't bother us at all! Great location, just facing the Albert dock and a 5 min walk from town. Would def stay here again.. Well worth the money! Wouldn't recommend for families or older couples.

I booked this hotel for a good price via an app but it only had within the description that it had a shared toilet and shower - which we dirty and shared by a good of partying students.

We were supposed to have a glass at least in the room but had to go down to reception (at the adjoining Ibis) and get one - they were surprised there wasn't one.
