“Great last minute booking. Clean room great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012 via mobile

This hotel is in a great location. This hotel was a last minute booking as the hotel we had booked was a dump. The staff were helpful and the room was clean. Only thing we had was coming back they were asking what name our room was under. I was pretty drunk so couldn't remember but good I suppose so other drinks aren't just walking in.
No complaints. Although parking across the road was expensive. I would stay again though.

“Good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

stayed for one night ,having booked well in advance got a good rate of £29. The hotel is located right around the corner from the local moorfields train station and is not to far away from the city centre or a stroll to the empire theatre. check in was efficient and the staff very friendly. The room was clean and tidy and the bed extremly comfy the tv even had more channels than another hotel i recently stayed at and that was more expensive. i have to habd it to premier inn if you book well ahead you get a good room at a very good rate it has all you need. If staying overnight again would stay here.

“Bit tired, I'm afraid”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I stay at Premier Inn's a lot and they tend to be my first choice when I travel for work. This one is OK, but falls below the standard I've come to expect from PIs. It is a bit tired - there's a new one being built around the corner, so hopefully there's a refurb planned for this one after that's opened.

What I liked:
* Central location - 2 mins from Moorfields station, 5 mins from the Cavern, 10 mins from Lime Street, Liverpool 1 and the Liver Building, about 15 minutes from the Albert Dock
* Good value for money
* The road is a bit noisy in the day, but is quiet at night as it is on a side road

What I didn't like:
* Tired, with things in the room and public areas needing fixing (one of the lifts was out of order throughout my stay)
* Breakfast was a bit so-so. Lots of things had run out and had to keep asking for things to be brought - there was only one person working outfront and the poor guy was overstretched.
* The staff weren't as friendly or helpful as they normally are in PIs (which admitedly is normally a *very* high standard and something I generally *love* about the chain). Thought this was a bit odd in Liverpool, as it seems such a friendly city - so maybe they were all a bit overstretched?

I may stay here again, but I think I will probably try somewhere else next time I'm in Liverpool,,, probably the new Premier Inn I saw being built around the corner.

“Good location especially without a car”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Stayed for 2 nights on Boxing Day.( on a £19 a night deal) Parking is across the road and with discount cost us £19 for 48 hours. Once parked we did not move our car until we left. The hotel is a 2 min walk from Stanley Road. This road brings you out in to the centre of Liverpool making shopping restaurants and the Dock a manageable walk away.
Check in was seamless and did not have the automated check in i have seen elsewhere. We asked for a high floor prior to arrival as I had read that it can be noisy on football nights. We were allocated the highest floor at the back of the hotel The view from the room was not much to write home about. The Hotel was near to a church whose bells chime every 1/4 hour and on the hour, but was not a distraction and provided a uniqueness.
The rooms were clean, tidy and bed comfortable. We had the breakfast on one of the mornings. Again this was very well presented ad looked fresh and appetising. A little tip though if you ask for poached eggs on toast, they are made fresh and they do the toast which saves you waiting round the restaurant toaster for half done toast.
All in all i would stay here again especially if i came by train and had no access to a car.

Room Tip: High Floor rear of hotel - no view to speak of but quieter
