“Ultimate student hostel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We stayed there for 3 nights (all 22 of us uni students from Dublin!) and it was a grand place to stay. Not one complaint from them about how loud we were coming in from nightclubs at all hours (which were all literally 5-10 minute walk away). We requested pancakes on the Tuesday morning and they provided us with free pancakes and nutella. The staff were all really friendly and helpful whenever we asked for anything.

One thing I would say is that the shower holder was broken, but not a big deal. Also, there was a suspicious permanent wet patch right outside our door (possibly a burst pipe?) but again, not the biggest deal for students.

I would recommend this place for any students coming to Liverpool just looking for somewhere to stay near excellent shopping and night life. We were really happy with our stay and will probably be back! :)

“Bargain crash pad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

I was expecting budget due to the price of £45 for a double ensuite for one night, but as the next cheapest room available in the centre of Liverpool was £85 we thought we'd take a chance. Check in was very efficient and our room was very clean and the bed comfy. We hadn't realized that towels weren't provided so hadn't brought any so we couldn't comment on the shower. We only needed to get changed into out party gear before heading out for the night, so this wasn't a problem for us.

The place was surprisingly stylish for a budget hotel, and in much better condition than many city centre locations we've stayed in previously. We parked the car right outside the front door, but the down side of this was having to be up at 8am to put money in the parking meter, and then only being able to park until 10am, even on a sunday..

I was expecting the place to be noisy during the night as it was when we checked in about 5:30, but nothing disturbed us. However that could be because we returned at 3:30am. We got a taxi into the town centre which cost £5, however we found the walk back easy enough, when we couldn't flag down a cab.

I would definately stay there again, as somewhere to sleep after a night out, but reading other people's reviews it does seem a bit hit and miss.

“cheap and central location”

I have stayed here on multiple occasions, all of which have been as part of a group enjoying the liverpool nightlife. The first thing to make clear is that the international inn has two separate areas - dorms, and the separate rooms in the coccoon@international inn, and this review relates to the dorms.

It is very centrally placed and ideal for exploring liverpool on foot, day and night, and in a very safe area. It is however very popular with stag & hen parties, and just general groups coming to liverpool for some nightlife. As such it can get quite noisy there at night(at least at the weekends), and not the ideal place if you're looking for a quiet night's sleep. This however may be different during weeknights.

The accomodation is not of the highest quality, but the beds are OK, and pillows, quilt and sheets all provided. all rooms have a shower,WC and sink, just don't expect any luxury. I note the preivous comments about bed bugs , but I certainly have not had an issue with this on any occasion. the kitchen is generally well stocked with bread, butter, tea, coffee and you can usually still find some bread even at 3am on a saturday.

As part of a group coming to liverpool on a limited budget this is therefore ideal, but just be wary if you are hoping for high quality budget accomodation, as it does'st quite reach that standard
