Firstly, the location is bad; a long walk through a slightly rough bit of the city to get here from the city centre.
The room is okay, pretty small with a tv that cuts out and twin beds an inch apart from each other but tidy nonetheless.
It gets worse, there is a dress code of smart clothes worn in the hotel, a strange snobbiness when the hotel overlooks a derelict old council housing tower block with broken windows.
Anyway my main concern with this hotel is that we paid a stupid amount of money to have somewhere to sleep in Liverpool and it is impossible to sleep. I am writing this at 11 o clock, I should be asleep but unfortunately they are having a disco downstairs which is literally shaking the floor. Listening to 'I've had the time of my life' blaring through the speakers while contemplating a long train journey in the morning is not a good experience.
To be fair I am writing this from the free wifi that the hotel have provided but apart from that services do not reach any kind of standard. I paid money for a place to sleep and they failed to provide that. I've just come from macdonalds in Manchester, less expensive and a much Much better quality.
As I post this an abba medley is blasting into the room, 'thank you for the music'. Top marks for irony but a low score for EVERYTHING else.
