We are Scousers and very familiar with Liverpool town centre and this hotel, we were very pleased with our stay, yes the building is dated but get over it, and admire for what it is.
You can hear noise outside, but hey you're in the centre of a major city!
Beds were comfortable, room clean, tea/coffee making was there. Has a heater if you get chilly, windows are a bit lacking in draught excluders!
Bar seemed open all night if you wanted it, Barman was friendly and helpful, prices were reasonable, while we were there even doing a double Bacardi for £3.25!
Brekkie was good, cold ham, cheese, cereals, and plenty of toast, and once again like the barman , the girls on duty were really nice, and seemed interested to know what you were up to, we usually get ignored by sullen staff, but not here.
Summing up, if you looking for luxury go elsewhere, if not enjoy yourself here.
