“Weekender in Liverpool”

Just had great weekend at Marriott City Centre Hotel, Liverpool. Centrally located just opposite St George's Hall and a stone's throw from shopping, restaurants and the many sights Liverpool has to offer. The hotel was clean and well appointed with small but perfectly formed Leisure facilities - pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, etc. Breakfasts were good and hearty. Rooms were well appointed with comfortable, clean beds and bathrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'd certainly stay again - so much to see! Museums aplenty, art galleries, two cathedrals, the famous waterfront and lots more. Excellent street buskers too!!

Room Tip: Air conditioning a little noisy but otherwise quiet rooms

“Great place to stay in a central location for business or pleasure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

The hotel is ideally placed and only a few minutes walk from Lime Street Station. The reception staff are very friendly, efficient and professional. The lounge and bar area staff were also very good. I stayed in a standard room which was clean and well appointed, everything worked and the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean, plenty of towels and a powerful hot shower too. Rooms are well soundproofed especially as mine faced a busy road. Breakfast was of a good standard with plenty of choice and service was again very good.

I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again

Room Tip: Colleagues who stayed at the same hotel found their rooms to be of good quality,

“Top hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We stayed here on New Year's Eve and thought it was great. Was reasonably priced for the time of year and we got a huge room with two double beds. Apparently this is a standard room but was so nice, thought we had been upgraded! The view was really nice too. Location wise, it has a good selection of restaraunts and pubs around, with La Tasca right outside. It is also close to the train station. The only minor issues we had was that we had to wait aboput half an hour to check in as our room was still being cleaned. We were given a voucher for a free drink and told the staff would find us when the room was ready however I had to chase it up myself. Also the room was really warm and we couldn't find a way to adjust the temp. Still a nice overnight stay and would stay in a Marriott hotel again.

Been to the restaurant for 2 consecutive Christmas day dinners and will keep coming back every year. Food excellent, atmosphere great and the Christmas spirit was wonderful. Service was the best ever experienced. .

Stayed there 13/1/12 til 16/1/12. Stayed there several times and will go back again. Easy to get to. They don't have their own car park as such but there is a multi storey car park just across the street where you can park for about 12 per day. You drive to the multi storey and get a ticket then park car. Keep your icket safe. On checking out the hotel will authorise the ticket or when yo leave the car park. Check in was efficient and all necessary things explained. When we got to the room the pre ordered drinks I had done online were there and correct. The only thing was they hadn't left a bottle opener. Rang reception who arranged for one to be sent up which room service arrived with it in 5 minutes. But they said they couldn't leave the bottle opener as it was the only one for the restaurant. We told them that was silly. But we were told we would have to ring room service every time we wanted a bottle of budweiser opening. Eventually room service left us with one of their own. What a nightmare. Can't believe the hotel only has 2 bottle openers. Anyway moving on. Knave stayed in all of the different rooms. The rooms have all been spacious, clean, tidy and well equipped. All have supplied toiletries, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. I had no problems with Internet access. Good storage space. Very comfy warm bed. Good climate control. Efficient room service. One night the people in the next room had a late and noisy party. We told reception as we couldn't hear the tv due to the noise. Within 5 mins security had gone to the too and the noise was one. Very efficiently and appropriately handled. Breakfast has a great choice of continental and hot food. Eggs are cooked fresh on a work station. Good choice of drinks. Hotel is ideally situated. Close to bars, restaurants, sightseeing, theatres, shopping and local transport. Hotel has an area near to reception with info for the local area. Hotel also has a health centre where I have used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. They were clean and pleasant. Staff at the hotel are helpful, chatty, polite and genuinely care. They booked a taxi for us that arrived within 5 mins. Checkout again was efficient. Hotel is worth the money. Fab.
