With fantastic views across the Mersey and of the Liver Building, this is in a prime location to explore Liverpool, close to the historic Albert Dock. Staff are really nice (even the Liverpool FC fans!) and the rooms are spacious, clean and modern. When I return to Liverpool, I would gladly stay here again.

We stayed when the temperatures outside were 35C and the hotel was hot inside, making it unpleasant in places.

While the rooms are nice, the restaurant was a little dated.

Not sure it was quite 4* quality.

Just spent a great night away for a relaxing break. The room was great and the views of the river and Liver Building spectacular. Had a fantastic meal in the restaurant, again with great views of the river. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will return.

Our two night stay (7-8 Feb 2012) booked through Groupon represented excellent value for money. Our room (906) was extremely comfortable (great to be able to adjust the room temperature to suit individual requirement rather than coping with extremes!). The room itself tastefully decorated, large bedroom and ample size bathroom. What makes this hotel is the staff and the welcome we received when checking in was consistent with the general friendly and professional manner the staff appeared to greet all guests with. The location is excellent; minutes walk from the town centre, with a station close by (if time permits for a trip to Chester). Right across the road from The Liver Building, museums and a stroll along the front to The Albert Dock - and not forgetting Liverpool One for shopping! Without doubt this hotel would be our choice when we return to this great city. The Atlantic Tower represents excellent value, comfort, price and not forgetting a good hearty breakfast thrown - all what you need for a short break away - and our thanks to the staff and management for making our stay so enjoyable.
