“loved this hotel, had a great stay and fun night in wave bar!”

Booked this hotel for a weekend break to liverpool due to it being cheap and right in the city centre literally 2 mins walk from shops and liverpool lime street station! Was slightly worried after reading some reviews but cannot complain about anything! Grand looking hotel, slightly outdated but all adds to the character of the building. Room was pretty small but liveable for two people staying only two nights. Room was lovely and clean, carpets sometimes coming away slightly in the corners but nothing bad enough to put you off! Visited the wave bar beneath the hotel on the saturday night and the music was amazing! had a great night, reasonable drinks prices, however it was really busy and it did take a long time to be served, but was to be expected from a city centre bar on a saturday night. Giving free drinks tokens to hotel guests was a nice surprise as well!

“Feedback goes unnoticed at The Adelphi”

Reception staff helpful as always but stayed here in October 2011 when I completed feedback form advising of cracked sink in bathroom and the lack of availablility of tea at breakfast. I have just returned from 2 day break, I was allocated same room as last year and sink is still cracked. I waited over 20 minutes at breakfast to get a cup of tea this despite asking politeley on 4 separate occasions.
Hotel is well situated for city shopping nightlife and a trip to The Docklands. The public areas are clean and well presented but the rooms are dated and they need a complete refurbishment to bring them up to date. Reception and cleasning staff helpful as always but waitresses need to undertake customer service training and hotel policy of putting coffee on every table needs to be reviewd, customers should be given a choice of beverages when seated at table.

Room Tip: Avoid the 6th floor I have been advised in the past by cleaning staff that rooms on 1st floor are be...

“Times have moved on..This Hotel has not”

My girlfriend booked us in here for night as a surprise for Valentines and to be fair it was a surprise..I was surprised that they have the nerve to charge £128 a night for a so called superior room which was dark, dirty and smack bang over a function room with a party which went on well past 1.30am. Just because a room is large does not make it superior. I would rather have a normal sized room that was clean and not kept at a constent million degrees than put up with the frankly tatty room we were given. The hotel itself must have been fantastic in its time but that has long passed. How this place gets any good reviews is beyond me. People say you get what you pay for but £45 each gets you a clean, modern and comfortable room in any travel lodge or premier inn...We payed £128 on a so called deal for a rough as arses room in the wrong part of town...

Booked this for my Birthday break with my girlfriend for one night(9th feb) After reading some of the reviews i was a little bit worried but was looking forward to it at the same time,

Yes theres only spaces for about 40 cars ( we got in fine and parked from 1pm until 6pm the following day for only £12) but if its full theres a ncp straight accross the road!

Hotel was really clean and the breakfast was great, Absolutly love the charecter this hotel has and if your into your square box premiere in rooms then maybe this hotel isnt for you! The main lounge is fantastic and the service was great!

Dead close to Albert docks/liverpool one etc etc!

The light stopped working in our bathroom but within 30 minutes of calling there was an electrician there to change the fitting! great service!

Would definately go back! i just wish people would realise this hotel was built in 1913 so is bound to not be the same type of experience you would get in a holiday inn or premiere inn! but its much better!

our double room was a great size to!

Room Tip: Ask for a doudble.. but in reception ask the cost to upgrade to a suite.. if they are free it isnt m...
