I was expecting great things from this hotel, having stayed with Novotel before and been really impressed. However, I was quite disappointed in the reality. Great points are the location, the breakfast and the staff. However, my friend and I had to move rooms on the first night due to the walk in shower leaking, plug sockets not working and the fact that the tap in the bathroom came off in my hand! Many of my group complained of the bathrooms being smelly, one pair even went to Tesco for an air freshener! In general my feeling was that the rooms had been finished quickly and on the cheap which is a great pity as this could be a fabulous hotel. Also the room staff did not replenish the tea/coffee etc overnight so I had to make a 3am trip to reception for supplies! Could not fault the staff in their responses to our complaints, but not what you would expect from a fairly new hotel purporting to be 4****
Room Tip: If you want a twin, go for one of the doubles with a sofa bed, the twin beds are TINY!
