We recently stayed at Lever Court Apartments for my sister’s hen weekend. There were 8 of us in apartment 30 for two nights, two stayed in room 19 (sleeps 3) for 2 nights and another couple in one of the other rooms which sleep 3 for 1 night.
The 8 bed apartment was amazing. It is situated on 4th floor. The bedrooms are on one floor (two twins, each with ensuite, one with balcony and one double room) and there is also a bathroom on this floor. Go up some stairs and you are in the main living area with kitchen. It was so spacious, ideal for what we wanted it for. Two of us slept on the sofa beds (I was pleasantly surprised there were two, was expecting to have to share). There is a balcony accessed from living room.
The apartments have received mixed reviews, but we would all go back again. I called beforehand to pay in advance for apartments and was dealt with by a really friendly guy called Stephen. Our check in on the Friday was dealt with by a really lovely girl, unfortunately I didn’t get her name. On the Saturday I spoke to a girl on reception, unfortunately she wasn’t so friendly, but maybe that’s because I had a complaint! The room that slept three for the two nights had intermittent heating problems, no hot water and a smoke detector that had become detached. Maintenance dealt with the problem very quickly.
There were some small niggles, some mentioned by others:
Tiles off the wall in the bathroom – did it ruin our enjoyment? No
Not enough mugs and cups for the 8 staying in apartment – did it ruin our enjoyment? No, we just went to reception and asked for more mugs which were handed over. We made do with the glasses
The upstairs toilet was locked, I assume out of order, though no sign on it to say so. Did it ruin our enjoyment – No, but would have been nice to have it working for those of us sleeping up stairs.
Cleaning could be a little more thorough. The three bed which had the maintenance issues had a very sticky floor and stank of stale smoke. Not pleasant. Luckily the three staying there only slept there and spent all other times with us in the larger apartment.
Windows could do with a good clean, though again of course did not affect our enjoyment.
Frying pan would be useful in the kitchen to save warming the grill up for bacon !
As mentioned before, we were there for a hen weekend. If anyone wants any suggestions, we had two Beauticians from “Belle Amie” come to the apartments to give us some treatments. I can thoroughly recommend the body polish and Indian head massage. Their prices are very reasonable. We also did a Cocktail Masterclass at Revolution in Wood Street and had a fantastic couple of hours.
These apartments are in a fantastic location. A two minute walk to the bars, and only a little further to the main shopping area.
Would definitely stay here again on any future visits to Liverpool, though wouldn’t be the same without all the other girls in the big apartment!
