I enjoyed my stay at the Carline Guest House. The hosts were extremely friendly and they were happy to help (I had a query, trying to find a place I was visiting the next day). On the plus side, lovely, warm bedroom, functional en-suite shower room, comfortable bed and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good too - though I didn't have a cooked breakfast, there was an array of cereals to choose from. My only gripe, and it is a slight one - I stayed on the ground floor (in Room 1) and it is situated by the front door - I was just unlucky enough to be woken by some noisy guests at 1am. The TV didnt work for me, but I was more than happy to catch up on news on the clock radio that was in the room. Well worth going back.

We stayed here for one night mid week, we had not already booked so were lucky to find such a nice guest house within a few minutes walk of the Cathedral. The guest house is close to many of the attractions of Lincoln. The room was slightly dated but very comfortable and large with a kingsize bed. I would definately recommend this guest house.

Quite a spacious room on the ground floor. Very friendly staff on arrival. Everything I needed was in the room. Lots of well-positioned powerpoints, hairdryer, ironing board and iron. The whole guesthouse seems to run like a well oiled machine. Good position (just a couple of minutes walk) near Lincoln Cathedral. I would stay there again.

The Carline owners are warm and unfailingly good humored people who serve up a brilliant breakfast. The quiet rooms are small but pleasant, tidy, and fully equipped. We have stayed at this fine B&B at least six times, and will continue to do so, especially as it is close to major antique centers and fairgrounds. Further, for Americans who love ice with their adult drinks, there's a special built-in ice cabinet in the entry way!
