Stayed at 3B. No staff contact, arrived to a note on a door and phone number to ring.

Double Bedroom - pine bed was incredibly creaky. Every time you turned over it made a noise and this resulted in a bad nights sleep. I have never experienced anything as noisy and have stayed in many beds all over the world. The room was basic but clean. Towels provided had some pink stains on.

Kitchen/Living room area was ok, sofa was like something out of a student flat but comfortable. Clean crockery and cutlery. Even the glasses were extremely clean - no marks when held to light.

Easy to walk to town and onsite gated parking good.

We stayed in 3C and while it wasn't particularly lovely, it was cheap and the beds were clean, although other bits weren't. The sofa and chair were fairly grimy.

I suppose that if we had been stuck indoors with small children it might not have been much of a treat, but I think we got what we paid for and a wee bit more. The locked courtyard, secure parking and free wifi were a nice bonus.

The toaster was a novelty, holding down the button was a new one for me, but it had a kettle, mugs and hot and cold running water.

The list of problems is seemingly endless - we arrived (with a 4 year old and a 7 year old) to find a dirty and mouldy fridge, cobwebs, dust bunnies and spiders all over the place, dirty oven and grill pan, appallingly uncomfortable and dirty sofas and 'bucket' seat, no sign of anything to wipe a surface down with (and it desperately needed it before we even felt like unpacking - in fact we didn't unpack, but lived out of our suitcase!), windows wouldn't shut on vent, shower room disgusting (mould, someone else's pubic hairs, no loo roll, damp, uncontrollable shower head and mouldy broken shower curtain), torn and dusty lampshades, cutlery draw dirty, no broom or hoover to clean with, kick panel below fridge lying on the floor and unfixable (and why should we try?), waste bins outside looked like they hadn't been emptied in weeks - overflowing, smelly and full of flies and wasps, generally grotty feel to the place. Someone decided to rev their loud sports car then clean and vacuum it outside one evening, waking both children. Worst of all was that we all woke up each morning with fresh bites after sleeping in the beds. The saving grace was that we were there to spend time with a dear family friend, and spent as little time as possible in 3A Tennyson Court. Will not be returning.

Booked cottage 3b for my inlaws (mother, father & brother). List of problems endless, only 2 plates and glasses, no frying pan, toaster broken, light bulbs out, carpets lifting, bad leak in small bedroom, old burnt food left in oven and a total lack of basic cooking equipment, filth like you've never seen before and we're not very fussy. We had to go and buy cleaning equipment. Very sad as the cottages are full of character and don't need much to bring them up to standard. Cheap but not very cheerful.
