Service was excellent, we was made very welcome.A good breakfast too. Room was spacious and warm and a lovely view in room 3 Location was spot on close to the cathedral about 15 min walk. I would reccomend it for a budget break.

We stayed here for one night whilst attending our friend's wedding at the nearby Charlotte Hotel, next to the Castle. It was ideally situated within 5 - 10 minutes walk of the town centre. We had a twin room which consisted of a double and single. The rooms were chintzy but perfectly comfortable and well furnished. The bonus was freeview on the TV which kept my husband happy as he could check Sky Sports News! I think the bathrooms have been refurbished in recent years as although small, they were spotlessly clean with a nice corner shower. The breakfast the next day was welcome after our late wedding and the full English breakfast was delicious. Jan & David, the owners, were very hospitable throughout our stay with directions, breakfast chats and manoeuvring out of the car park. I would highly recommend this B&B if you are visiting Lincoln.

At £50 per room per night this was a good value Guest House.
Our room was warm and quite spacious, the best thing being the west facing view we had from the window.
The owners were welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were filling and freshly cooked to order.
It is quite conveniently located - only a 5-10 minute walk to the castle and cathedral, and not much longer to go down to the shopping area. The only slight disadvantage was the limited parking area - if the guest house was full, cars would need to slot in behind one another.
We would recommend this guest house to anyone on holiday or business in central Lincoln.

We booked the Mayfield Guest House B&B for one night on a whistle stop tour of the East of England. Previous reviews had said that the B&B was "warm and friendly" and a "home from home" although most comments did refer to the en suite bathrooms needing some modernisation. We decided to over look the bathroom and book the guest house anyway.

The directions we were given were simple and straight forward to follow meaning that we arrived on our first attempt, there was free parking too which was a bonus. The room which was a 'twin' consisted of a double and single bed which was nice and well, yes; ok the bathroom did require some modernisation. Other than that I could not find fault with the guest house or room. The highlight was the breakfast which was included the price of £50 for the room per night - can't complain!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lincoln and the Mayfield Guest House B&B and we would recommend it to any one else visiting Lincoln.
