Stayed here for one night for an anniversary celebration on a Saturday night. Slick professional check in, with simple parking procedure. Spacious modern room with good facilities. Excellent breakfast. However two negative comments- two tea bags for an overnight stay,just not sufficient. Tea bags are so cheap and in cold months more are needed. Went for a meal locally and returned to the hotel for a drink or two. I waited at the bar for 10 mins - still not served. The bar staff were to be fair extremely busy. I then gave my order to a waitress and sat down, waited a further 10 minutes and then went to the bar again,and was reassured that they were coming. Waited a further minutes, and saw large groups being served before us. At this point i informed the waitress that this was unacceptable and took business elsewhere.My wife informed the reception staff about this also. This may seem like a trivial point, but sadly had a negative effect upon the weekend

Stay one night on business, nice rooms very new infact I think I may have been the first guest in this room, as looked like a small amounf of builders stuff behind the bathroom door.

Good quality room as you would expect, good internet and wifi connection and good quality bed for nights sleep.

Strange thing about the hotel is that the lobby/reception does not have any atmosphere to it and feels very strange when you walk in.

Food and bar very good, bar was busy late on and was informed gets very busy at the weekend. Bar is on the top floor and is accessed via a lift with balconies over looking the marina, so looks like a top spot for the summer.

....this is because it'd only been opened 2 weeks and there was still some grout on the bath taps and the windows needed a good cleaning to get a better view of the Marina. I needed some air in the night, and there isn't a window that I could open. If there had been a key to open the balcony one, i'd have been fine. Reception said that they aren't giving the option at the moment till everything is sorted...not really sure what they meant by that, but hey ho. No decent bar area, but there are plenty around on the Marina to go to anyway. It's a great location, and it hasn't put us off staying again. In fact, relatives are coming to stay there in February on our recommendation.

only spent one night at double tree by hilton at lincoln's brayford pool. what a good night it was!!!! the hotel is new, been open for just two weeks. the finish is superb and at the moment is priced to take custom from its holiday inn next door neighbour and across the water holiday express. it beats them hands down.

room very nice
bed is real comfy and big! i never thought i would be impressed by pillows!!!
breakfast excellent. full english plus cereal, fruit, croissants, muffins...what else could you want.
staff..very curtious, friendly and helpfull.
gym..good range of equipment (take i pod/headphones)

downside....car park full but a public one a couple of minutes walk away.
price of drinks in very nice electric bar are as expensive as expected.

talking to the owner...what a nice guy...he asked if we had tried the resteraunt as it has michelin chef. we hadnt but will next time and there will be a next time.
