Great place for a weekend break. The owners have tried to cover everything with some excellent little touches.

This was a great stay, the owners were very welcoming, courteous and friendly and more than willing to help you out with places to visit during your stay. The breakfast was fab, and plenty of it. Although you may find cheaper BnB's, its worth paying a bit more for a comfortable stay. As long as you don't mind a bit of a walk into town then this is the BnB for you!

The room we stayed in was comfortable and had all the facilities we required. Extra touches like homemade biscuits, cooling fan, wine glasses and corkscrew were great. Everywhere was clean and seemed to have been recently decorated however the finish was a little untidy which was a shame. The location was a good walk into the main shopping area of Lincoln. Approx. a 40 minute walk to the Cathedral which is at the top of a steep hill. Information provided in room was useful, recommending restaurants and bars and good location maps.

The breakfast was first class, one of the best we have ever had, and the service was friendly and welcome.

We would go back to the Tennyson.

We were delighted to return to the Tennyson after a gap of several years. We chose to stay there as our previous visits had been so good. We were not disappointed! The proprietors were as welcoming as ever and the same little touches, which made this one of the best guest houses we have ever stayed in (e.g, the delicious home made biscuits) were still there.
The freshly cooked breakfast was of the same high quality, setting us up for the day. It was served, as always, by our discreet, friendly host and nothing was too much trouble.
The bedroom was immaculate and we were thankfully supplied with a fan (coming from the north-east, we aren't used to very warm nights). One of the best features of this lovely little guest-house is the provision of tables in the dining room, set up to be used for take away meals, after which, the cartons/ papers etc are removed and the tables relaid for breakfast, i don't know of any other hotel/guest house/b&b, which thoughtfully provides this facility.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The week flew by and we won't leave it as long before our next visit!
