“Fab city hotel!”

we stayed in Lincoln for New Year, and all I can say is well done Holiday Inn, and I will definately seek out a Holiday Inn wherever I stay now. The bedrooms were larger than I expected, the bathroom was fab, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was huge!! We have stayed in other places at New year, and we are often met with a limited choice on New Years day, but not here! There was a huge amount of fresh food availiable to us, and having a sore head, we needed food! Secure parking too, well done I will return.

“Location, location, location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

This is a very clean hotel, really convenient for the city centre shopping and sightseeing. The private car park is next to the hotel and has a very reasonable £5 per night charge, payable on checkout. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, and happily ordered us a cab to get to the wedding we were going to in Washingborough. We arrived back at ghe hotel at 1am and the security guard was helpful and friendly, too. Our room was very clean, usual amenities such as TV, tea and coffee and the shower was lovely, really powerful and lovely and hot. Breakfast is buffet style, as much as you can eat, and lots of tea and coffee on demand. The hotel overlooks the river so there is always something to look at it if you need to!

“Nice waterfront location...........just under-going a refurbishment Nov 2010.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Nice location, minutes from the city center by foot.
Family rooms are reasonable size with two double beds. Our room over-looked the waters edge. To be fair, our room (so presumably the others too) could do with updating and a new coat of paint.Bathrooms are always give-aways. Just checking the condition of sealant around baths and tile condition usually give you a good idea how long ago the room was redecorated.
During our stay certain areas of the hotel were under refurbishment.
The breakfast was sensibly priced and well presented. Staff too were pleasant and helpful.
I would return again and for parent's of nearby uni students, it's 100% nicer than their accommodation : ))

“Great location, but a little tired!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The location for this hotel is fantastic right by the waters edge. The hotel has recently been refurbished apart from the bathroom of the room we were in, certain things were comedy like the loo handle (which took ages to refill room 118) was in the shower?? also the toilet roll dispenser was hidden behind you under the sink??
We booked room only but were told breakfast was £13, we think Lloyd's bar down the road do a better deal at £4.20 for breakfast.
If you can get a deal on the hotel as oppose the rack rate of £160 per night, the its an OK stay.

“Excellent location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

The hotel is in the heart of Lincoln and well located for shops and the sights.
The rooms either look over the Marina or look towards the castle. They are modern and fairly large, and the twin rooms have king sized beds. They have tea and coffee making facilities.

Breakfast is available and includes hot and cold items.
