Stayed 2 nights while attending my sons graduation at the Cathedral. As has been previously mentioned it sits right next to the Cathedral and is somewhat a blot on the landscape for that area, however you can't blame the hotel for that.
I believe it used to be a Post House hotel many many years ago and is classic 60's build...i.e. concrete, it has been updated inside and is well decorated and the rooms are pleasantly furnished.
We stayed in room 310 which is at the front of the hotel and had its own balcony, the room was clean and had a modern bathroom, the room had everything you would expect in a hotel these days. The only thing we had to ask for was an iron and ironing board and bottled water...i would have liked to see these supplied as a rule. The heating in the rooms is preset on a timer and the room did get a little hot at times. Be warned if you do stay at the front of the hotel you will be woken by the Cathedral bells!!!
Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about, they did seem a little short handed in the mornings and one waitress seemed to be looking after everyone and she did this admirably. We would stay there again if we went to Lincoln due to the fact of its location to the more quaint area of the city.
