“Never, ever again.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

Rooms very clean and adequate, however we arrived after travelling from Chester to be greeted by "how are you going to pay?" was a little off putting We asked to see the room first to which the response was "Why?" from the Landlady. My husband was then asked to move his car as it was too close to the wall and preventing space for four cars, it was all of two inches he had to move the car and where these four cars where I do not know. Then a menu was thrust at me asking what we required for breakfast , I can appreciate they have to know these things but not all as soon as you arrive. As it was we opted not to go for breakfast at it was made clear we had to be down for 8.30am so the Lanlady could get on with her day, so we felt as though we were a bit in the way and a nuisance . So after that we became the forgotten two, my husband went down on Sunday morning to find the front door still locked, nobody about not a soul, no breakfast available, so we packed up and left, leaving our key in a glass, we felt we had no option. Notices everywhere how you cannot do this and you cannot do that and switch the lights off as you go.
We booked this through Laterooms as we had a business matter and it was a last minute thing, but have lodged a complaint, we paid for bed and breakfast and all we got was a bed really.
So, never again in that place.

All guests are asked if they are going to pay by cash or card, so what!! Why would someone ask to look at the room when they arrived, when it was pre booked, did she really think we reserved this room just for her to give it the once over before she accepted it!! As for the other cars, they were probably out visiting Blackpool. We like to ask customers on the day of arrival what they would like for breakfast, they may want something different, which we are only to happy to get, if we haven't already got it. You just cant please some people. Breakfast is not fixed at 8.30am. Times are clearly displayed on the web and in the hotel. As for the front door being locked, (how did they get out??). My front door is always locked, the days of leaving your front door open have long gone. The door lock is on a thumb turn, anybody can get out. As for nobody being about in the morning, we were probably getting breakfast ready in the kitchen for all of our guests. The only notices we have are the normal ones about not bringing smelly take-aways into the rooms and for turning your room lights off when you go out. Doing my bit for the environment.

“Excellent Guest House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2010

We stayed here for four nights bed and breakfast midweek during the Illuminations.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we felt quite at home very quickly.

Our double room was quite small, but it was very clean and perfectly adequate for our needs.

The breakfasts were excellent and the comfortable lounge had a huge LCD TV.

We didn't have an evening meal, but there are plenty of decent restaurants and pubs nearby.

There's free parking at the front, but only for three cars, so book your parking place in advance at busy times. Free on-street parking is available nearby, though.

The Pleasure Beach and the seafront are just a short walk away.

My only minor gripe is that the advertised wi-fi wasn't working during our stay.

We'd definitely stay here again.

“Clean and in a quiet location providing a phenomenal choice at breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

Very friendly hostess who works hard , providing spotless accommodation.Quiet location just behind Pleasure Beach managed to sleep very well and ideal for young families as no licenced bar on premises. Breakfast was prompt but well worth the limited time slot . Plenty of choice, fresh and very tasty. She also spent time speaking and making sure our children were happy (Boys age 3 and 10) not just checking with us the boys felt included and enjoyed the attention.

“Thoroughly enjoyable stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Visited Blackpool 8th October for 2 nights and stayed at Seaforth. Nice quiet location not too far away from Pleasure Beach. Spotlessly clean bedrooms and bathrooms (we had two rooms). Lovely soft towels and complimentary toiletries. Fab breakfast with plenty of choice and plenty of it to set you up for the day! Only drawback is the 8,30 - 9.00 am breakfast slot, but we pulled on our clothes then showered after breakfast. If you go, ask to reserve parking spot. Landlady (Nuala) could not have been any more helpful and she even hung up all our clothes and tidied our room for us!!! Thanks for a great stay. Would have no problems in recommending this place.

“NEVER AGAIN”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Hostess was nice , but had to pay as soon as we stepped through front door, too many do's & don'ts for our liking as we like to relax but couldnt in case we upset anyone, had to eat in car as couldnt take food back to our room, kids couldnt make any noise, rude host, customer service zero, seems to me to be run as a sideline and guests are just a distraction to be put up with., car parking space was taken off us because we went out and we ended up parking up the street as the host would not come out again to move his car for us. I also received a very rude reply to my review full of swear words when I dared to criticise the guest house. All in all we could not wait to get home from this particular guest house bearing in mind we have holidayed in blackpool many times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
