“nice place to stay with family, stay 2 nights, great location and great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

We stayed in the 5 bed (2 rooms 1 bath) family room, with our kids, and my wife's sister stayed in the other 5 bed family room. The hotel is very clean and tidy, the rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. Owners are nice and the bar area is very modern. If there was a complaint it is that the bar isn't very busy and the bar prices aren't great. Kids area had TV, Wii and other video games. Breakfast was served by a very busy, but nice, couple of young ladies. Nice brekkie, unlimited cereal (albeit only 2 choices) and toast, juice and tea and coffee, and a full nice English cooked to order.

If I was going back to B'Pool, I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended to friends.

“4 star ?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

understaffed by none recognisable workers we were expecting much more from this hotel . everything from tea /coffee in rooms to advertised items like iron and hairdrier had to be asked for . the room was cleanand when the plumbing and heating worked it was fine , noticed plumber in 3 of the4 days we were there . its a long time since we were not offered fruit or crassoints at breakfast and only 2 cereal choices , not what i describe as 4 star . definitely did not stand up to £100 a night rating

“Happy weekend in Blackpool.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011 via mobile

When I rang the hotel Diana the owner was very helpful and seamed a happy nice person to chat to. She went out her way to help me book the room and tell me where to find it. When we got there the welcome was warm and polite and when we got to the room it was clean and tidy. The hotel was well catered for if your a family or couple. The food was nice and we loved it that much we will be head back there everytime we go to blackpool. Thank you diana from matt and petra for helping make our stay there warm and fun.

Stayed at this hotel with husband and two children . The hotel was nice and clean and the lady who greated us was very pleasant. The road it's situated is a bit rundown, as is Blackpool itself. Having said that, it was a birthday treat for my 8 year old and he LOVED it. Our rooms were well presented, although a bit on the small side, the bed was huge, which was great. The bathroom was basic, no bath only a shower and the water pressure was very bad, it came out as a sprinkle, which was not really much good.
Breakfast was served at 8.30 and we got the heads up from the owner to get down early as not all guests could be accomodated at the same time. The breakfast itself was very nice and filling and the staff were very friendly and efficient.
The bar area lacked atmosphere, but having said that, most of the other guests seemed to be groups of friends and so enjoyed it, we prefered to find a pub, but that was just our choice.
I wouldn't class it as a 4 star hotel. more like 3, but maybe the star system is different in Blackpool, as a chippy we went in claimed to be the only 5 star restaurant in Blackpool !!!....hmmmm

We have just come back from a weekend in Blackpool staying at the Ashley Victoria Hotel. From the minute we arrrived we received a warm and friendly welcome from Diana the owner. The breaksfast staff were kind and considerate and provided a good breakfast service. The rooms were clean and the beds nice and comfortable. The hotel is well situated, with all ammenties close by. We would highly recomend anyone visiting Blackpool to stay in this hotel.
