Have stayed here in past years with previous owners and had a warm welcome, made to feel at home etc. Bring back Julie and Mick, lovely couple xxx.
Well Where should i start with the current owners,
:-Front steps cracked and chipped, looks unsafe and a mess.
:- Front door split and damaged, looks like someone tried to kick it in.
:-morrisons bags filled with sand blocking the down stairs fire exit.
:-Didn't smell very fresh on entry, then it became apparent why. There is a bird flying free in the bar area pooing every where it goes, especially the beer taps. There is also a dog wandering around. There was NO mention anywhere that pets resided at the property, not good if you are allergic or asthmatic, or bird phobia.
:-There was NO warm welcome and a tray of refreshments as mentioned in the room info pack(if you even had one in your room).
:-There was a distinct lack of enthusiasm, and plenty of couldn't care less attuide from the owners, when you could actually get them to speak. They had to be promted to introduce themselves, and are clearly inexperienced within the hospitality business, but really, how difficult can it be to chat and at least appear to be friendly to a customer who is about to hand over £350:00.
:- Rooms not great, shower leaked, mattresses desperately need replacing, springs popping out of them, bathroom floor filthy, damp patches on the ceiling which had tried to be painted over, inside drawers and cupboards dirty, i left most of my things in suitcase. no iron available to use, but then again you wouldn't have wanted to put your clothes on the ironing board that i spotted.
:-sticky table cloths and mats in dining room. The breakfast cereal is in plastic canisters that are in need of a visit to the dishwasher, There is no label, food advice, or use by dates on the cannisters. Same for orange juice and milk. Many of the cereal bowls i picked up were still dirty, and had yesterdays breakfast still stuck on them.
There was no drinking water available at any of the meal times and had to ask for water, they only provided tea or coffee.
Food was edible but nothing to get excited about,
The owners wife could do with looking in the mirror before serving food, change out of those manky tracksuit bottoms, get your nails clean, and tie your hair back, put on an apron and look like you give a [--]
Maybe i have been spolit in the past with the previous owners, but i deffinatley will not be staying here again, it was overall disgusting and Adam and Jenny need to either get themselves booked on to a hospitality course somewhere, or get a How to for Dummies.
