We arrived at the hotel and the outside looked ok!
We went to reception and booked in, the rooms werent ready so we were asked to stay in the lounge while they were "cleaned ".
Tea was brought to us on what we can describe as the most dirties cups and saucers we have ever seen. Think they had found them in the back of a dirty cupboard in narnia. I went to reception and asked them to be changed, the new ones werent much better but at least we knew that the were white!
We finally got into our rooms about half an hour later! We asked for a wheelchair accesible twin room. We got the smallest room in the whole hotel, there was no room to put your suitcases let alone your wheelchair! The shower was totally distgusting, dirty and stained. The cups in the room were dirty. The tv and the phone were furry with dust. The cleaner couldnt even remember if she had cleaned the room, she said she had but it was totally obvious she hadnt.
There was no way we were staying in this dirty little room. The lifts were very small. The wheelchair wont go in straight you have to take your foot rests of your chair and squeeze in! This is not acceptable when its a hotel "specially for disabled people".
The smell in the hotel was terrible, smelt and looked like a nursing home. This place is not a hotel.!!
The receptionist was not very happy at all, no welcome or even a smile!
If you are looking for a disabled hotel go to the new mayfair down south, its owned by the same people but is totally different, warm welcoming and very clean, no smell of nursing home!
