Booked into this hotel last minute as me and my boyfriend decided to go away for the night.
Walking into the hotel you get an old musky smell which isn't too pleasant, it's very dated and could do with being decorated.
We paid £60 for the night in a sea view room - on arrival to the room it was very spacious and clean looking, the bathroom was small but clean and had hot running water which is always a plus.
There was some rot on the windows and mould & the windows were in need of a clean (I thought with it being a sea front view room they would at least have windows you could see out of)
The television was a small portable mounted on the wall with a freeview box! We also had refreshments and clean cups to pour ourselfs a drink.
In the evening we went down to the bar which we stayed in most of the night - the drinks were cheap at the atmosphere was nice. Played good music young people can relate to and had a dance floor with disco lighting.
The staff didn't seem too bothered we were there, not very friendly at all the man just sat behind the bar on his laptop all night being unsociable! He was also very strange and creeped me out as he kept staring at me! (bit of a perv if you ask me)
The toilets near the bar area were very clean with heating and clean towels.
Breakfast in the morning was great set out in a buffet style all you can eat with unlimited fresh orange juice.
Overall I dont know if I would stay here again, it's not the worst hotel in the world but certainly not the best! It's cheap and near the fair and arcades so maybe I would if it was another last minute thing. Certainly wouldn't go in October again though as it was FREEZING!
