Stayed here waaay back in February for 2 nights and it was..well...alright i supose! The couple who own the Merginn were nice, the room was clean and comfortable! Parking is avaliable at the back of the building as on street is a bit tight! Breakfast was ok aswell.....im struggeling here because the Merginn just didnt stand out atall! well apart from Steve knocking at the door at 11;55am on the morning that we were leaving to '"remind" us that checkout was at 12.........!

Thank you for your review Calvin. You "must" have a very good memory, as it has taken nearly a year for this review to go on!!!
As it was Valentines weekend we always bend our rules and give a late checkout. Our normal check out is 10.30am, but for this weekend we gave an extra hour. So therefore checkout was "11.30". As you had not appeared at this time, Steve gave a gentle tap on your door to remind you. We had guests arriving for that room at 1pm., so needed to turn the room around quickly.
We do try to be flexible where ever possible, but can't understand why we were critisied and down marked and this review site.
We note you marked us down for location too, but unfortunately we cant move where we are, and most guests appreciate that we are located in the quieter North Shore area of Blackpool rather than hustle and bustle of the town centre.

“brilliant stay”
very nice welcome from dawn and steve on arrival rooms clean and spotless very comfy beds food excellent steve even helped us get our car back on the road they will go out of there way to help

“great hotel”
Stayed with my wife and two small children. Room was spotless comfy and plenty big enough. Steve and Dawn were great hosts and made us all very welcome. Great breakfast and the Italian restaurant on the corner was brilliant, 3 courses and a drink for a tenner.
Hotel in a good location as well, quiet street but really close to the beach and tram/bus stop's.
Would definatly visit again

“Had a lovely stay!”
Steve and Dawn are very nice and welcoming. We booked a triple ensuite room for a one night stay in Blackpool. We were welcomed by a nice cup of tea on arrival and Steve even helped us to park our car! Room was spotless clean and the beds were very comfy. Will definitely stay in The Merginn again when we go back to Blackpool.

“That good booked for next year”
We have now stayed here for the past 3 years and would not even think about staying anywhere else. We have 2 girl's aged 10 and 8 and they love coming here. Steve and Dawn always make us feel at home and nothing is too much bother for them. Steve keeps the girl's entertained and they love to annoy him. The cooked breakfast is excellent and always hot and tasty. Our room is always clean and tidy and a fine size for a family of 4.
We will look forward to going again next year and I am sure for many years after that.
