We recently stayed at The Seacroft with friends. Lord Street is in a better, quieter area of Blackpool but only a couple of side streets from the Tower, Funny Girls etc. We were greeted by the owners. The atmosphere of the Seacroft was warm and welcoming. The rooms were very big and contained everything that you may want on a holiday - ironing board with iron, table and chairs, t.v., radio, hair dryer, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. The En-suite was lovely with a larger than average shower unit. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Downstairs you have a small bar/lounge area with comfortable leather sofa's where you can have a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap. There is a breakfast room where we were served a Continental Breakfast.

The owners Steve and Pete went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed and pointed us in the right direction to local restaurants.

We had a great time in Blackpool we had not been there for about 12 years and we were quite suprised at how clean Blackpool had become - the Comedy Corner on the front was brill with quotations and poems from famous people.

Once again, thanks Steve and Pete. We will be back!

We emailed several boarding houses in the area to find out if they had any availability for one night, we wanted to stay on a Saturday which put us at a disadvantage as most would only accept a minimum of a two night stay.
However we recieved a swify reply from Tim at The Seacroft to say he would take us for the one night. We booked without hesitation and we were not disapointed.
The Seacroft is a five minute walk from Blackpool North Station, and within a ten minute walk of both the town centre and the seafront. We were made to feel very welcome by Tim when we arrived. We had a room at the back of the property and our friends had a room at the front.
Both rooms were very clean and the facilities provided in the rooms are comparable with a three star hotel. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log.
Overall I would highly recommend this accomodation, for its location, comfort and most of all the friendly welcome, Tim was an excellent host who made sure we were happy with everything. Will definately book here again.

“Definitely stay here again...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

After hearing a good review from a friend we arranged to stay at The Seacroft for one night on a recent weekend in Blackpool. The booking was made easily over the telephone and the room rate was very reasonable at £30pp for the double. We arrived to a well maintained and clean B&B with a very warm welcome from Tim (one of the owners). The room we were given was very spacious and had amenities you wouldn't usually find in a standard B&B room (fridge, iron and ironing board, trouser press, full size wardrobe). The bed was kingsize and very comfortable. The ensuite was immaculately clean and bright and the towels in the room were good quality bath sheets (all adds to the positive experience in my book!).
We enjoyed the continental breakfast which was more than sufficient and both Tim and Tim were excellent hosts. The only thing I would comment on for improvement would be the shower - the pressure was very low and it was more like a trickle than a shower. However I don't think this detracted from the overall experience, which was a very positive one. The place is very central to the gay area and is nearby to lots of bars and restaurants and is one street back from the famous Funny Girls.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place to stay. Personally it ranks the highest of all the B&Bs I have stayed at in Blackpool.
