“Home from Home”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Group of ladies looking for a clean and respetful hotel for the night.. Well we found it.. Thanks for a lovely break at the Rubens. The rooms and hotel are spotless and the warm and friendly welcome we received was first class. Couldnt have asked for a nicer hotel. Full English breakfast was great and the tea / coffee and toast just kept coming, extra butter, extra jam, and more toast, nothing was too much trouble.
We booked three rooms and two were great one was on the small side but still spotlessly clean and we wasn't in it that long.
Would definately stay again and look forward to seeing you soon.

“Warm Welcome, fantastic Hosts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Our trip to Blackpool would not have been the same had we stayed at other guest houses in and around the Lord Street area. Close to the Promenade, Funny Girls, the Flying handbag and other night spots we just knew upon arrival that we were going to have a great time!

When we arrived Lara was extremely helpful in showing us to our room, and informing us of what facilities they had to offer... nothing was too much trouble!

The bar area was quiet and cosy as was our hotel room.

Ashley was extremely helpful in telling us what restaurants were good to dine at for the saturday evening, and boy did she get that right! (See AJ's Bistro!)

Would highly recommend to any couples (gay OR straight), families, friends or lone travellers staying in the Blackpool area. Thank you ladies for your wonderful Hospitality!

“Best hosts ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

What first strikes you when you enter the reception at Rubens is the really warm welcome that you get from Ashley and Lara, you know at that point you have made the right choice, it is like home from home, they really can't do enough for you. The rooms are great, spacious and spotless, they take a lot of pride in what they do and it stands out a mile. The breakfast is lovely and plentiful and all freshly cooked and served with a smile, just what you need to set you up for the day. Rubens Hotel is in a great location, you can walk everywhere from there and parking is easy. So if your looking for a place to stay in Blackpool then look no further, you found it.

“What a great little hotel..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I booked a last minute nite away for myself and rang the hotel direct. The lady on the telephone was really pleasant. Upon arrival at the hotel I was greeted with a really friendly smile ( even though it was 10pm on a Saturday !) I was shown up to my room Which was spotlessly clean, and very well presented with the usual nice little touches you would expect from a small hotel.
Breakfast is served at a very sensible hour for a Sunday (9.30-10am) upon arrival in the dining room I was greeted with another friendly and welcoming smile and offered Tea or Coffee, then after helping myself to cereal I was treated to an excellent full English breakfast which was nicely presented.
All in all this is a great little hotel and really good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and friendly hotel.

Room Tip: Room 101 is a lovely quite room at the back of the hotel

“Rubens, Blackpools best kept secret!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Just back from another great break at Rubens in Blackpool. As usual Ash and Lara the most welcoming hosts and even the addition of a four legged host who sneaked in to welcome us. Our room was clean, comfy and had enough tea an coffee to even keep us quiet! We are always greeted like old friends and our peculiarities are catered to, I like toasted crusts at breakfast, Denise has vinegar on her breakfast and Jacquie likes a pot of hot water with her morning coffee, Ash and lara remember these things which is why they are so good at their jobs. Thanks again for a chillin few days. See you again soon.

Room Tip: All rooms are good rooms.
