Awful place never again: Started with an unfriendly greeting but hey it was later afternoon on a bank holiday not booked any where so took the room. Oh what a mistake should have tried a few more places really. Owner looked over our shoulders while filling in booking form not putting you at ease, not what you you expect when on your holidays. Room was not unclean but small old fashioned and dark so really couldn't tell if it wasn't clean if I think about it. Shower was hard to work and when it got hot, it was scolding ended up having to wash shampoo off in sink, this was not pleasant, had to use the tooth brush holder to rinse. When we asked for a hair dryer it was given but only begrudgingly. Yes we were asked what we would like for breakfast the next morning but this was ignored so why bother asking and we were told oh your having Rice Crispy's as a cereal. Yeah we should have been happy because the next day we had no cereal offered at all. Nights sleep oh let me think floor boards squeaking above from very early, soil pipes running through room at the side of the bed..... lovely (the bed side cabinet was cut to accommodate pipes) and mattress I think I may still have some off the springs still imprinted on me talk about memory mattress. Complain oh no... too scared. There were evening meals served but we were never offered this, seemed a service for the select few. No information given about Blackpool at all.
We were told we were lucky they had a room free 'cos the person who had the room booked had to go home uuummm I wonder why? or was he happy in a nice room with comfy mattress, nice shower, need I go on? was he some where else in Blackpool, in happy bliss if so can he tell me where for next time. Oh wait the blonde waitress was friendly... three cheer's to her. When we left the Hotel owner just took our keys off us, didn't even ask if we had enjoyed our stay... just nothing!!!
Out of interest, we were chatting to another guest on the Sunday night and it seemed she and her partner were having a similar experience....

They were lucky. Last room on bank holiday. Did not look over shoulder, not done. Stayed 2 nts never complained. were in and out of the hotel all day. Blackpool info folder in room and reception full of info. Evening meals are advertised, if they wanted only had to ask. If breakfast was wrong they only had to say this is not what we ordered.Shower tested works fine hot and cold. These were never the sort of guests you felt you could have a conversation with. Why can't people speak up if they are not happy rather than go home and write an essay full of innuendo and untruths. They may have had a grievance but they did did not bring it to our attention.
Should have cause for concern during your stay, please bring the matter to our attention. Every effort can then be made to meet you requirements or resolve problems. We consider it unreasonable to raise concerns after your departure should the hotel not first have been given the opportunity to attend to these matters during your stay.
