The Hounddog Hotel is THE perfect example of two wonderful down to earth people making the most of what they have making what they don't have insignificant. The place isn't huge but I would gladly take a little on the small side bathroom and bed for the hospitality we received. Phil and Julie are exactly the kind of couple I hope my partner and I would be if we opened up a B & B (more of a b & b than a hotel really). After just saying passing we were going to Newcastle the next day Phil had a google map printed off for us for the next day of travel. What a guy. Absolutely monster breakfasts, genuine sincere service and even helped us get out of the carpark the next day!! Topped off with some Titanic knowledge. What more could you ask for???

We had a fantastic but sadly short stay at the Hound dog. I must start by saying that the breakfast is one of the best we got in 3 months of travelling. Phil and Julie were welcoming, warm and it felt like a 'home away from home'. The bathroom of the room we stayed in was slightly on the smaller side however this was made up by having a massive big bath on the 3rd floor which was AWESOME! On a whole we will definatly be going back to the Hound dog if we ever find ourselves back in Blackpool.

Myself and the family have been going to the hounddog hotel since day one when phil and julie moved in.They will do anything for you and give you a warm welcome.We have 3 young children and if they need anything from dummies buckets and spades,pushchairs,footballs,nappies etc.Phil and julie are more than happy to help.The rooms are really spacious and cumfy,The food is really nice and fresh.I wud never go to another hotel after going to the hounddog hotel.it really is a home from home.lee and family

I stayed here for a week in May with my husband and 3 children. I would now never stay anywhere else!! Phil & Julie are amazing hosts, they are friendly and helpful and really do go above and beyond to make you relax and feel welcome. They even did some of our washing!! (Thank you so much!!). I have stayed in loads of B&B's in Blackpool over the years but have never been made to feel so welcome, it really is like a home from home!! The whole place is spotlessly clean and Julie's breakfast is to die for!! We weren't planning on going back to Blackpool for a few years but are now planning to have our holiday there again nxt year and this is mainly down to the lovely time we had at the hounddog, Phil and Julie really did make our holiday very special!!
