“Better than perfect ! !”

Writing a review on the Edenfield is a like a double edged sword, It's that good you really want to tell everyone how good it is, But on the other hand you want to keep it a secret because once someone's stayed they wont go anywhere else !
Alec and Craig are fantastic hosts and the Edenfield is a real credit to them both, Your stay starts with a great welcome and free refreshments, and a chat that puts you at ease, the rooms are spacious and finished to a high standard with everything you could need (iron, ironing board, hairdryer) and I'm not even going to say very clean because dirt doesn't exist, its all perfect. Breakfast is again faultless and with a excellent choice available, plus cooked how YOU want it not just slapped in front of you, It's just a really really nice place to stay, They always have time to stop and chat with nothing being too much trouble, eateries they recommend are top quality and if you need advice on where to go for a night out, Again take the advice.
Thanks again to Alec and Craig for the hard work you both put into the Edenfield to make it such a pleasure, The Edenfield is as good as it gets, and we hope to visit a lot more often,

Mark and julie

Omg we could not believe how great our little stay was! It was excellent on all counts. Cleanliness, rooms, Service etc etc. Overall this little Gem of a guest house should be top slot on trip advisor when staying in Blackpool. Thanks For your hospitality Craig&Alec :) See you again real soon.

“Best Guesthouse in Blackpool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

My husband and I are regular visitors to Blackpool, having an elderly relative living there who we visit frequently, and have stayed in a lot of different B&B and Hotels large and small. The Edenfield is without doubt, the best of the bunch. We have paid much more for much less.

The welcome when you arrive is warm and genuine, and accompanied by free tea and biscuits as you register. You can ask for a cuppa any time during the day with no charge. There are excellent tea making facilities in the room as well.. We had room 1, just fully re-furbished to such a high standard. It's cosy and warm but spacious enough not to feel small. and it was gorgeous. Fab leather bed and chairs (even matching leather mirror on the wall) Loads of drawer and wardrobe space, fridge, iron & board, hairdryer. The large bathroom was a delight with great shower and plenty of towels.

It's the attention to detail that makes this place such a find. There are cotton buds, balls and make up remover pads on the bathroom shelf. In the loo off the restaurant / bar downstairs there are perfumes, after shaves and hairspray. The food is great (Craig is the chef and you get a terrific huge cooked breakfast, and Alec makes REAL fresh fruit salad daily which was a firm favourite before the hot food) the service is great (Alec is so determined that everything is perfect). You just cannot fault it.
It is by far the cleanest place we have ever stayed, it is few minutes walk from EVERYTHING; trains buses, shops and nightlife. We are used to spending a fortune on taxis but not this trip

From now on we will check for availability at the Edenfield before we would look anywhere else in Blackpool.

“Absolutely fab!!!!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

My daughter and I stayed with Craig and Alec for just one night in January, having come across their guest house quite by chance. We relied solely on the TripAdvisor comments and were not disappointed! From the moment the front door was opened we were treated warmly and kindly and we felt completely at home. The decor and presentation of the bedrooms, bathrooms and all public areas is first class - a quite deal of thought and care has gone into creating a top notch guest house, with lots of attention to even the smallest detail. Would not hesitate to recommend the Edenfield and will definitely return to enjoy this wonderful home. Thanks Craig and Alec!
