“no room at the inn”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

Hi booked this hotel on wednesday 3rd november and paid half the amount due for a 4 night stay We arrived on friday the 4th and were told that we could be accomadated on fri sat sun but the hotel was closing on monday and we would have to move next door for the extra night or have a refund and find somewhere else We asked for a refund and were told the only person that could give us a refund had gone home for the day and we would have to go back at 10.30 at night or in the morning We went back the next morning and were refunded our money back on our debit card which would take 4to 5 days for us to get the cash back in if this would have been a family it would have been very hard to find somewhere to stay plus they may not of had the money to find somewthere surely someone knew they were closing

“Our Favourite Getaway in Blackpool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

My wife and I have recently returned from our 5th stay this year, at our favourite seafront hotel.

I am very surprised at reading a number of very damning and negative reviews for this little gem of a hotel, we actually stumbled across the Crewes about 4 or 5 years ago, after walking out of a very dirty grimey hotel from approx. 5 doors away and probably would never have returned to Blackpool. We were offered a lovely seaview room on the first floor which was very spacious, clean and tatefully decorated. The rest is history as we have revisited on many occasions and always found Debbie and the staff to be amongst the most friendly and likeable people we have ever met.

On one occasion when the Crewes could not accomodate us we also tried another neighbouring hotel, which I might add was much larger and more expensive than the Crewes only to find yet again being very dissapointed with the size of the room and the cleanliness. From now on with us it's the Crewes or nothing, the value for money is very hard to beat. The hotel is ideally located and although they have no parking facilities we never seem to have trouble parking in the local area around the back of the hotel.

We do enjoy a good breakfast and Debbie and the girls serve us a hearty breakfast of our choice which carries us through to lunchtime and beyond. The dining room is spacious and nicely decorated and the service is excellent with nothing being too much trouble.

Thanks to Debbie and the staff for another great year at The Crewes Original, we will certainly be back in the New Year and would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an ideal location with a lovely view of the beach from the front, nice and clean with very friendly staff.

Jackie and Mark.

“The Jewel On The Mile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

What a great place. Very friendly welcome which continued throughout the stay. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Sea view room was perfect, great amenities. Breakfast was very enjoyable. The hotel did not smell at all as written elsewhere. This was my fourth stay in this hotel and I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
