With coach party holiday-very friendly reception,nice single room with sea view and quite comfortable.A little way from town centre,but excellent bus service from stop opposite hotel.Highly reccomended for its good home cooked food,and for the nightly entertainment which was unexpected in a smallish hotel.Good value for price paid.

We (2 adults and 2 kids (13 + 9) are just back from a great weekend in Blackpool. The reviews on TripAdvisor are hardly glowing for this hotel but then some people would rather moan than praise. Our room was on the first floor with one double and two single beds. The room was spacious and perfectly clean. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, tea coffee etc, TV/DVD, everything you could want or need. The shower had hot water and the bathroom was spotless. At breakfast, there were more choices than you could possibly imagine. Ken was welcoming and always up for a chat.
Yes, there is a rough looking building to the left of the hotel but, we just walked past it so it was no big deal. The location is south of the Pleasure Beach, maybe about 10 mins walk but there is a bus stop across the road if you don't want to walk. We have stayed in a more central location before and ended up with a room where the four of us couldn't stand up at the same time. So its a question of priorities.
All in all we had a great time - hope you do too :D

looking at the website we expacted a modern airy room. Ours was the opposite, tired carpet, creaky floor very dated room. The people were nice enough but we felt a little in the way as they had family members for a birthday party and we were not informed of the changes in time for breakfast, as a result we had to ;eave without having eaten. Being out of season may have had an impact. I feel that the price we paid for just the bed was expensive. Possibly a lovely place if what you see on the website is what you get.

Stayed here at the end of October with our 2 kids aged 12 and 9. We were the 'other room' in the review below and as noted, our room was good (TV worked!). Shower was a bit hit and miss but room was clean and tidy which is important.

Breakfast was great, lots of choice and service at all times was good. There is a good size bar with a pool table in a separate room which was good for the kids.

Location was good as a bit quieter.
