“Comfortable, homely, friendly and enjoyable.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2009

I have just read the reviews to this hotel and would like to say that they are completely wrong. They are talking about another hotel in Blackpool with the same name. The hotel we stayed at had no lift or night porter was family run and extremly friendly. The hotel rooms were spacious and the ensuite facilities were extremly clean and good. There was hot running water throughout our stay. The breakfast was delivered to our table and was a fabulous Full English. There was also cereal, juice, tea, coffee and toast a plentyful. The bar was open untill late for a nightcap before bed. There was ironing facilities loaned to us when requested. Whilst at the hotel there was a family with young children who the owners went out of there way to accomodate. Heating bottles, warming baby food, nothing seemed too much trouble. After reading this slanderous blogs I felt compelled to write in and feel that the reviews that are clearly not linked to the Alexandra Hotel, 1 Alexandra Road, Southshore, Blackpool but to the other hotel Alexandra Hotel, Albert Road Blackpool, should be taken off. This is clearly slanderous and could ruin a genuine family business that is fabulous. Its not five star but its comforable, friendly and above all its a warm environment to stay in for all AGES YOUNG and OLD.

“good stop over in nr the tower and winter gardens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2008

We booked in and found the staff very friendly and helpful, as we where working till midnight was nice to see there was a night porter on to arrange our rooms, the rooms where of average size, but for a head down hotel, you cant complaint at all, the breakfast was brilliant and the owners got up at to have our breakfast ready for 730, so again no complaints. we now use this hotel for all our staff when working in blackpool.

  • Liked — friendly staff, early breakfast
  • Disliked — bar shutting at 2 =(
