“Fabulous, friendly place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night break at the King Edward Hotel. Keith and Angela were excellent hosts and really made us feel welcome. As a family of 6 we were of mixed age group and the hotel suited us all. Rooms were spotless and breakfast a great set up for the day. The added touches of Monty and the wide range of whiskeys on offer added to an overall excellent stay. Thanks Angela and Keith, of no doubt we will be returning soon.

“Very Welcoming and Friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

Just returned from 1 night stay, what a nice, warm and clean hotel it was.Angela and Keith were everything you would want in owners of B&B ,friendly ,welcoming and felt like that you had known them for yrs.I went with my wife and our 3 children 9 month old baby,2 yr old and 9 yr old and we stayed in room 2 which was great plenty of room it has a connecting room that has a set of bunks in a seperate tv so my eldest was set up.Breakfast starts at 9am was a plenty, cereals, plate full of fried breakfast and plenty of toast and the tea and coffee just keeps comming. The children loved Monty the parrot who came out with some great words and has a wicked laugh,Henry the cat who was always dashing in and out and the tortoise who liked to hide. Will def return here, and recommend this place.

“A great time was had by all!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at The King Edward Hotel. From the moment we arrived Angela and Keith were welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I was there with my teenage son and his friend, and they too were made to feel very welcome. We loved the pets and enjoyed chatting to Monty the parrot! We had nice clean rooms with comfy beds, and the rooms were well stocked with everything we could need. The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it. This hotel offers fantastic value for money and if you're looking for a small quiet friendly hotel, then I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough.
