We travelled here for a friends wedding and decided to make a weekend of it and stay as central as possible. We didn't arrive until late on the Friday night, where you find the owner waiting to check you in (I got the impression he ran the bar until the early hours some nights) and he would be first up for breakfast in the morning.

The photos are quite clever on their website/ booking.com and make the room look slightly newer/ brighter than they actually were, (i wouldn't really call it a proper four poster, sorry) but we had everything we were looking for. Clean comfortable room with a nice hot shower and good breakfast.

The quality of the service and attitude of Matt & Jane made me feel happy to pay for my stay at the end of the trip, they really do work hard to earn there money.

Competitive price for the area and would return again if the opportunity arose.

The double room that we booked was rather small with not alot of room to walk around the bed but apart from that, it was fine. The bathroom could do with updating and was a bit grubby, we felt that the room was overpriced. The breakfast was really lovely and there was plenty of it, a good start to the day. The hotel is in a good location for the pleasure beach and not that far from the other attractions that Blackpool has to offer. Would stay again.

friendly owners/staff, clean room and good location, but very dated hotel. i felt it was over priced for room we had. we stayed in room 7 which was a very small double, just enough room to walk around the bed. nowhere to store your case, had to leave it on the floor and step over it. found it difficult getting ready for night out. shower didnt work so couldnt have one. the bed was comfortable though and breakfast was ok. glad we only stayed 1 night.

This hotel is nice enough, but very overpriced. We stayed in a four poster bedroom for £58.00 with breakfast. The decor is quite dated but quite clean apart from a free standing mirror on the chest of drawers which was completely filthy. We also found a football under the bed which obviously belonged to a previous guest. This only goes to show that when the room is cleaned, it is not cleaned throughout. The shower was very basic but worked ok. Breakfast was quite good and was served hot and prompt. I would recommend this hotel, but not at the current price.
