“Very late, but here's a review.”

Very, very good. They were extremely helpful, tidied the rooms very well, everything was clean, even a pint of Carling was only £1.50. There were no faults that we encountered that were affiliated with the hotel and the owners. I even knew one of the owner's relatives, which was surreal. The only thing that went wrong was the annoying Scottish alcoholics that were barely understandable, but obviously the owners couldn't help that. Great place to stay, would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Just any room, I would imagine.

“If Carlsberg did b & b's......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

they'd be called the Chelston and be run by Sue and Allun.

I've stayed here 3 times in the last 4 years. 1st time with mates for a rugby final and twice with my wife and 3 year old daughter whilst visiting the illuminations.

Everything good has already been said loads of times on here. Great location, very clean delicious big breakfast and the best hosts ever who were made to run a b & b.

I might have to take them a City shirt next time to cover up THAT Wolves shirt. :)

“Lovely clean little B&B!”

The Chelston Hotel was amazing! A friend and I stayed for 2 nights and we loved it, we were made to feel right at home by the owners. The rooms were quite small and fairly basic but we weren't spending much time in the room so it didn't bother us. They were brilliant value for money and the rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. The shower was a bit fiddly and it took us a while to work out how to get warm but to be fair that might have been our hangovers getting in the way of our common sense!! The breakfast in the morning was delicious and very generous and they had no problems with tweaking the contents a bit to suit our tastes. The small bar area was lovely and the prices were brilliant (£3 for a double vodka & mix!!) It was in an excellent location and we easily walked to and from the town both nights.

Overall a lovely little B&B, it's not 5 star luxury but it was brilliant value for money in a clean comfy bed with helpful cheery hosts. Would definitely stay again if I'm in Blackpool.

“Fantastic hotel - lovely hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2011

My husband, two teenage sons and myself visited Blackpool Friday - Monday over the August bank holiday. We were greeted warmly by Sue and Allun and shown to our spacious, clean and cozy room. The room had a clean and tidy ensuite, tv/ dvd player (Allun has a huge stock of dvd's to borrow) and a fully stocked hospitality tray.
While we were there nothing was too much trouble - dietry requests were happily embraced and the breakfasts were tasty and plentiful. The bar was neat and a good size with the cheapest prices I have seen for years.
Sue and Allun are the friendliest hotelliers we have come across and were happy to dispense advice and suggestions regarding the attractions on offer in Blackpool.
Will certainly be booking again for a break in 2012.

Room Tip: Stay in room 5 if you have a family - double bed, bunk beds and ensuite
