My wife & I stayed at Courtneys Dec 2011 the view of the hotel on its website looked great, sadly this was not the case.Courtneys is extremely dated, this was the case with our room on-suite very tired & poorly finished.Courtneys is listed as 3 star, but 2 star would be a fairer rating.Breakfast would warrant a 3 star,but the odour of cigarettes from the staff who serve the food & from the the kitchen it was being served from was a little off putting.

We stayed for two nights and the room was lovely with a comfortable bed. This hotel is spotless and well run. The welcome was friendly and the full English breakfast consisted of quality food,well cooked and nicely presented. A wide choice of cereals and juices were also available. We would recommend it to anyone.

this is a superb hotel. my single room was big enough, very friendly staff, first rate breakfast . would reccomend it to anyone.

Me, my wife and 3 kids stayed in Courteneys on 16th August for 1 night and were amazed at how friendly and kind the lady was. She brought us milk for tea and ironed our clothes for us even though she was busy herself preparing breakfast. Its a lovely hotel and i would recommend it to anyone. Breakfast was lovely and it had a lovely grand piano in the front room, just a shame we couldnt stay longer to have a go on it!!!! Brilliant! *****
