Just had a one night stay, as i was meeting some friends. really enjoyed the night there i must say. Its perhaps geared more to the more mature visitor...well at least at this time of year anyway, but the guests during my visit were certainly a lively crew!
I'd only booked B&B but was asked upon checkin if i would like the 5 course evening meal for £6, i booked this & was glad i did, food good quality & with enough choice too. Nice large dining room & staff very good.
After check in i popped into the Cabaret Lounge area as it seemed lively....there was entertainment on even during the day & all seemed to be having a good time. The entertainment in the evening was first class...3 different acts plus organist too, there was an excellent duo on called Impact duo who i really enjoyed, and 3 girls named D-Day Darlings i think. the acts swap around over two separate lounge areas, so in each lounge you get to see the 3 acts.
Prices for drinks are reasonable for a hotel ie £2.50 pint of Tower Lager & bar staff very friendly.
Breakfast was a very decent cooked one too! I would certainly stay again.
I booked through laterooms which was cheaper than booking the hotel direct.
