I enjoyed my stay at the collingwood hotel caitlin aged 9

I had a great and enjoyable stay at the collingwood Shannon aged 12

This hotel based on my accommodation is definitely ok 3 star poor 4 star. I am not sure how the 4 star rating has been acheived and maintained! Our room was shabby with a strong smell of drains which was worse when you turned the shower on. The wardrobe smelt musty and the room was stuffy even with the window open. Thick dust on the wall lights and wait for this........ Under the mattress there is a sheet of plywood! Which my partner caught leg on and badly bruised the corners are sharp and over hang the base. The modern throw had stains on. Safe was locked. Breakfast was just ok I
witnessed burnt toast being served not just to us. No hash brown as advertised on web site and was hungry by 11.45. Rough looking characters residing in flats directly across and next to hotel. Would not like to be around in the dark . Tram stop short walk away but have to cross a busy main road.Would not recommend.

hotel was very clean and food was great. Rooms are big and bright. We will certainly be back.

I've rarely visited such a friendly and accommodating hotel, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel really welcome. We intend to return in the autumn.
