We were quite late looking for somewhere to spend the New Year 2006 and were lucky enough to get in at the Manor due to a cancellation. I say lucky enough because at the time we just wanted somewhere to get away to and didn't expect too much.

IT WAS FANTASTIC. Nick and the rest of the gang gave us the best New Year we have ever had and we have booked to return again this year.

The rooms are not opulent by any means but they are more than adequate and very clean. The food was excellent in both choice and quality and there was so much I don't know anyone who could eat everything. Breakfast, buffet lunch (hot and cold), evening dinner and buffet supper. The staff are really friendly and cannot do enough for you and although the entertainment is not the best in the North West, people enjoyed it. God knows what time the bar closes at night, we didn't go to bed until between 4.00 and 6.00 in the morning and Nick was still up and running. He was also up, cheerful and happy each morning at breakfast asking the guests what they would like to do that day and if he could help with anything.

There was a fancy dress party on New Years Eve (prizes for adults and children) and a real party atmosphere over the whole of the weekend. All the staff join in and I can honestly say it is a great way to spend your New Year - no cooking, cleaning, washing up etc., loads to eat and drink, entertainment and the chance for a brisk walk along the promenade to blow the cobwebs away and get rid of the hangover each morning.

WE WILL BE BACK THIS YEAR AND HOPEFULLY NEXT!!!
