Having decided to take a short break to Blackpool, I decided to book this hotel, big mistake! When I had booked, i booked for a family room with a view for £ 180 for 3 days, before we left I rec'd a phone call to say some else had beat me to the post for a seaview room, I was ok with this until i arrived, They insisted that i still pay for the seaview because thats what I had booked although, there was cheaper alternatives £15 cheaper on the site. but they were adament, so to save grace I decided to pay up, On entering our accomodation it was very small, although the beds were clean & comfortable the bathroom was very small. The following morning I decided to go for a shower and I only had cold water...unhappy I reported this to the reception, later that day I then tried to have a shower again but we had no water, Back to the reception, they told me the plumbers were in, I did understand there was a problem earlier, so took this on the chin. The following morning the shower didn't work but the bath did, at last I could get a proper wash, but then the bathroom lights blew, and the Vent would turn off, this this had been very noisey especially lying next to it, Then the lights came back on & wouldn't go off, Angry I went back to the reception and was told it's an old hotel, sometimes these things just happened, Bad excuse! The interior of the hotels was very Tired, although there had been some new carpets fitted at the reception, on my level there were at least 4 different carpets with edges lifted, nothing matching! stale smell of smoke lingered through the hotel I decided to call this Fawlty towers and thats no joke. I will not be returning to this hotel again and would strongly urge people to read my review, It was last minute as I couldn't get booked into the hotel I usually go with. Big Disappointment!
