Wow, came to Blackpool because my daughter really wanted to go to the pleasure beach. So my partner, my daughter and I came up for the weekend and stayed at the Danescourt. So many good things to say. Excellent location. Approximately 3 minute walk to Pleasure beach, south pier at the end of the road and FREE PARKING.The hotel is run by Joe and Andrew, we dealt with Joe and Andrew cooked.Joe is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Friendly, welcoming and always on hand to help. The food was amazing, full English and cereal, and have the evening meal, worth every penny. 3 course meal with roast dinner or lasagne chips and salad, superb. Our room was great too , very clean, well kept. Tea coffee, two TV's. Very comfy bed too. Will definately be back and would highly recommend to all. Thank you Joe and Andrew.

“The place to stay when in Blackpool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Just returned from our visit to Blackpool & apart from the weather it was a great weekend.

The Danescourt has just undergone some refurb & what a great place to stay when visiting Blackpool.

On arrival my partner & I were met with a really warm & friendly welcome & made to feel at home instantly.

The room we were allocated was lovely, quiet, warm & spacious.

The hotel location is ideal, just a stones throw from the front.

We will most certainly return to the Danescourt & look forward to it the next time we visit Blackpool.

Our thanks to hosts Andrew & Joe

When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly smile, everything was explained and we felt that right at home, As our first trip to Blackpool, this was a lovely place to stay, In the morning when we went for breakfast we were met by another warm reception, and the service was great. We had a great time and would fully recommend this hotel to friends and family and on our next trip to Blackpool we will definatly be booking a room here.

“Great hotel, great result!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

During the summer when the football fixtures came out one of the first things I looked for was when my team Nottingham Forest were scheduled to play Blackpool away. When I saw that it was on the first Saturday of autumn half term this gave me a perfect opportunity to do two things; firstly I could finally tick Bloomfield Road off my list of league grounds to visit, and secondly a chance to have a couple of nights away with my wife and stepson. So with that we looked for a reasonably priced hotel to stay in and we came up trumps with the Danescourt.

The hotel is located not far from the South Pier so is in a great location, the room we stayed in was quiet, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the host, Joe was very helpful and friendly without being intrusive.

Breakfast was cereal, toast, juice, tea & coffee, and also the usual choice of things to be cooked fresh to order. I still wasn't hungry by lunchtime. There's also a small bar at the front of the hotel which is open until late and is perfect to have a drink and unwind after a busy day on the promenade.

All in all a brilliant hotel which is fantastic value for money and next time I visit Blackpool I'll be sure to book the Danescourt.

Oh and to make a great weekend perfect, Forest won 2-1!

“Pleasant stay, excellent breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We took the kids to Blackpool for a surprise trip to see the lights, and booked the Danescourt on the back of its good reviews on tripadvisor. Our expectations were raised when we got a call from Joe to double check our arrival time as we were on our way, to make sure he would be around to greet us - a nice touch.

We experienced the friendly, helpful nature of the owners as soon as we arrived, nice welcome and advice on where to park for free. We had the room on the top floor, which the kids enjoyed, given its view of the Pleasure Beach, Pepsi Max ride and the seafront - the room was very clean and tidy, tea and coffee, ensuite facilities - everything that was needed was there.

We enjoyed a cider in the lounge after having a wander round Blackpool, and retired for the evening and enjoyed a good nights sleep. Joe had given us the heads up for breakfast and I have to say it was superb, very efficient service and cooked very nicely - it's amazing how often places screw up a simple English breakfast, but this was done very well, we all left breakfast set up for the day.

All in all, we were very pleased, and despite not particularly being big fans of Blackpool, we would not hesitate to stay at the Danescourt Hotel again, we would certainly recommend it.
