We have recently stayed at the hotel for a friends birthday. Check in was very quick and our room was at the top of the hotel. We had a bedroom for four and the room was clean and beds comfortable, but the bathroom is in desperate need of a refurb, The radiator was not working therefore the room was very cold. This was quickly rectified when pointed out, but we did hear other people saying the same. As it was such a cold weekend maybe a check of the heating would have helped before guests arrived. Neil and Greg were very friendly and made our party welcome but if people are sensitive to bad language this is not the place to be. Gregs friendly banter could be a little OTT at times.
The bar area was modern and welcoming and Neil could not do enough to make the weekend enjoyable. They even provided some complimentary cocktails.
The breakfast was very good with juices, cereals and a plentiful english breakfast.
We checked out and had an hour to wait for our coach. We asked for a pot of tea for 6 three times, and each time were ignored, finally we said we would pay and were charged £6. We were all quite saddened by this bearing in mind the money we had spent at the hotel over the weekend. The rooms we had vacated were open and we could have popped back upstairs and used the complimentary trays in the rooms.
Its small things like this that people remember hence my reference to it in this report.
