“will definitely return”

Excellent stay - 5 nights for the price of 4 - Sunday to Friday - great value. Hotel was clean, warm and comfortable. The room was spacious - only downside was the mattress which was too soft. food was top class - excellent chef who really knows how to cook delicious food - first poached eggs we've had that were properly cooked - well done to chef!!! Very surprised they had decaff tea as well as coffee - waiter (Alan) was very helpful. Will definitely return. This is the first time we have tried the Blackpool hotels, usually go to the Lakes, but the location of the hotel meant that we were not in the centre and it was very pleasant around the area. Good transport links for taking in the surrounding area.

Room Tip: we were in room 127 and would ask for this again - quiet, warm, spacious, goodstandard of cleanlines...

“not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

stayed at the cliffs midweek for one night on dinner, bed breakfast booked the day before and paid £60 for my husband and myself. The hotel seemed very clean though rather dated, our room had an orange bathroom suite but all was fine. The food was ok and service was very efficent in the evening though would had to call waiter over twice at breakfast seemed to be forgotton. The entertainment was a comedian and a singer and all guests seemed to enjoy the acts. The bar could have done with more staff on quite afew people complaining and walking away. All in all would stay again but wouldnt rush back.

“Another great stay.”

We stay in this hotel at least 4 times a year and have done so for the lat 4 years. It never fails to live up to our expectations. Always clean, tidy and the staff are always very helpful. I don`t know why I have never put a review on before but I felt I had to this time. This is an all round good hotel and has something for everyone, young or old. The entertainment is family freindly so we never have any issues about taking our daughter into the comedians or singers. The food is always of a good quality and you have plenty of choice. As the big Austrian chap says, "I`ll be back"

“a very pleasant short break...”

We have just returned from a 2 night break at The Cliffs Hotel, the first time we have stayed here.

It would be hard to fault the overall standard of this hotel, it is very clean, well organised and excellent value for money.

The staff are all very attentive, polite and helpful.

We found the room to be comfortable and in good decorative order with a nice view of the sea, the room was quiet and warm with all the usual things you would hope to find in a hotel room.

The ensuite bathroom was a little small but more than adequate, it was beautifully clean and there was no shortage of very hot water.

The dining room is a large bright room and from the moment you walk in it is clear to see that it is extremely well organised with plenty of polite friendly staff to take care of you, a nice touch being that the table you are allocated for your first meal is the table you keep for the duration of your stay. The food is of a good standard with a large selection of starters, main courses and desserts. Service is quick and efficient. Breakfast is good and sets you up for the morning.

There is also a cafe bar where you can get light meals and snacks, the staff in here being equally friendly and helpful.

We did watch the entertainment on both nights that we stayed and it is very much on a cabaret theme with singers etc... obviously if this is not your thing there are plenty of bars and shows in Blackpool.

This hotel does all that it needs to do... and more... to deserve its 2 star rating.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor with a sea view which was worth paying a little extra for, the top floor...
