“A nostalgic visit”

I booked this hotel for a 2 night break as I lived in Gynn Square when I was a child and I was visiting family. The owners are very helpful and friendly and are in the process of upgrading. My single room was at the back. Whilst small it had a comfy bed, a tv, tea and coffee making facilities and even bottled water and biscuits. I could also get wifi in the bedroom as well as the public rooms. Breakfast was lovely. Help yourself to cereals, juice etc then freshly cooked poached eggs (3) on toast with the crusts cut off. The hotel is in a quiet location just off the promenade and faces a small park. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away (I had no car). It was a good choice. Very good value and I enjoyed my stay.

We have just arrived home after staying at the hotel for twixmas. Debbie and Laurence were more than helpfull to us when unfortunatly our friend suffered a heart attack they helped us in every way possible so a very big thank you to them. The hotel was brilliant, we stayed in a family room as we had our little dog with us so it gave us a bit more space. We will definatly be going back as we where made to feel more than welcome, it was just like home from home and the food was great

“Tasker”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

Have just return from taking our daughter (Aged 4) to see the illuminatins for the first time & the sights. We were looking for a hotel just off the front and away from the hustle & bustle but still close. I found this hotel on-line, checked out their own website but chose it mainly due to the feedback on here.

Easy to find, great welcome, very friendly and we also had tea/coffee biscuits & juice etc on arrival. Lovely location opposite a nice park, plenty of street parking. Really nice bar/lounge, well stocked & reasonable prices. Lovely breakfast room and breakfast was fab, everything you need, pleanty of choices and all freshly cooked.

Bedrooms are clean & comfy with TV & tea try etc, but a little dated. But you don't come to spend time in your room, do you ?

Overall very good value for money, would recommend.

“Glasgow September Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

We had a lovely weekend in Blackpool, my first visit. The hotel was brilliant, the room although cosy was ample for our needs. We stayed in the family room with our 2 children, 15 and 11. I must say the breakfasts are THE best I have ever had while staying away from home. The staff were superb, one morning we were still in the room but they asked if we needed anything and replenished our tea coffee and biscuits, they were very friendly. The lady of the hotel was very helpful and informative about what was going on in Blackpool, I told her we were planning to go to the Sandcastle Water Park and she gave me money off vouchers, which mean't we would get in for £22 instead of £44, but before we left her husband chapped our room door and gave us a special voucher to get in for £2 each which was really nice of him. I would certainly stay at this hotel again. Our next visit to Blackpool, will be spent staying at the Brayton.
