carpets needed a good hoover. No towels. Kettle not working. TV nor working and placed so high it would have been impossible to watch anyway. Very loud buzzing noise from next room woke me up on several occasions.slept in my sleeping bag because hygiene standards were scary. view out of the dirty window was of a pile of soggy old matresses. Room 316 had a brown old sink in the bedroom.The en-suite with just toilet and sink was disgusting!The bath had lots of old hair and gunk in the plug hole, tiles missing and never been mopped - razor blade cover and old button still on floor.The carpet was terribly stained and thread bare. The notice on the door read 'welcome to glenmarie nursing home' .I was in effect put in a nursing room for the three nights i paid for. Didn't eat the breakfast, too scared of what the kitchen looked like.NEVER AGAIN!!

For £20.00 a night with a full english this place cant be beaten.
Kettle, Hair dryer, Tea, coffee buiscuits all provided as is TV, DVD player and Free view box, Shampoo n shower gel ALL FOR £20.00, People who complain about this should hang there heads in shame. THIS HOTEL IS GREAT...... ITS BLACKPOOL THATS RUBBISH!!!
Maybe if we went on a friday night and not a sunday night it would of been better but The Glenshee made up for a rubbish time in Blackpool.

It was with some trepadation after reading these reveiws. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. i don't know what people expect of a Blackpool hotel/guest house at £30 a night, I think some people are just plain too hard to please.

The rooms were tired, in need of some refurbishment. Small things let them down which are easy to remedy, like wiping down window ledges etc PLEASE NOTE!!

The bed was oldish but comfortable enough, the bedding was crisp and pristine white. The towels were white, fluffy and clean! The shower was hot straight away, and stayed hot both morning and night.

The food was good and plentiful. The staff are this places greatest asset, nothing was too much trouble, an iron delivered to the room within minutes of asking for it, cheerful and eager to please.

Just a little more attention to cleaning would make a big difference. Overall I was satisfied with what I got for my money. they do have a busy bar, and you might want to request a room on the third floor, we were there, never heard a thing, but other guests did say it was noisy.

i stopped their for 1 night,went to my bedroom,the carpet needed hoovering,the bathroom was dirty,the curtin was hanging ot the rail,the bedwas filthy,i had to sleep on the top with my clothes on,i paid £28 for the night,yes you get what you pay for,the breakfast was ok,but when the waiteress bought me my coffie,it was luke warm,i have stopped in better places for less money.
