I booked a deal on laterooms for the lynmar for 1st April and it might as well have been an April fool trick.
Got the reserved confirmation for £20 per room per night and its worth pointing out that the hoteliers set their own prices which they can change on a daily basis.
Dayafter when I checked laterooms, the price had changed to £40 per room but as kind readers on here explained to me, I had no reason to worry as the prices change regularly based on supply and demand and I had just been lucky booking pretty early.
NOT SO!
After contacting the hotelier by email he replied to me by stating no hotels charge £10 per person a night in Blackpool and he didnt know where I had got that figure from!
Well I can tell him where I got that figure from. It was from him advertising rooms at £20 as the confirmation proves AND lATEROOMS CONFIRMED TO ME THEY HAD CLEARED IT WITH HIM AT THE AGREED PRICE!
Not a way to be treated is it?
Been through trading standards and they say he is in breach of contract but theres not mush I can do as I havent lost any money. Mind lost few pounds in phone calls but its the hassle and the feeling of being cheated which bothers me. I could have turned up at the hotel with our friends from Wales and imagine on the Sunday morning settling our account with him saying £80 and me saying £40?
Dont know what would have happened. Its also ringing my mates up and telling them we have a bargain and then having to ring them up again to say it was all a SCAM.
So I will give the Lynmar the worst marks possible............ZERO!
Dont book them on an offer, you have been warned.

In repsonce to your comments on here, I would like to point out that our only form of booking online is via www.bookings.com who lias with other online reservation site like Laterooms.com, and bookings.com have a minimum rate for us to advertise (which is £18 per night per person) and if Laterooms have misrepresented our prices then your problem should have been addressed to them as the booking agent and not us.
The fact that no agent would have taken any money from them for a booking (as it states on the booking confirmation) then it would have come to us at the correct price and he should have contacted Laterooms for them to reinburse him for the difference.
In regards to us advertising an "offer" we never have and never will advertise rooms below £18 per night per person due to the fact that that price would not even cover our costs for your stay. And also it seems by your comments that you would have been a group of a "same sex" party which we do not allow to stay inaccordance to our booking policies. We do advertise as a small B&B which caters for "couples and families only"
I would like to add that we have been in business for the last 14 years and have never had this problem before.
Also that fact that you state that we are running a "scam" is both hurtful and unjust. I personally think it is a shame that Blackpool is one of the most cheapest places in Europe to stay, and I think that we should finally join the rest of Europe in our pricing policies and finally give medium to high quality accommodation for a good price (which we do considering we are a small place in a side street and not a 30 roomed hotel on the seafront).
Regards Mike
