“Cheap & cheerful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We struggled to get anyway for New Years eve so our normal choices in Blackpool were gone.
We booked here having checked the mixed reviews on here, and the price seemed so reasonable that it was worth a try & have to say we were pleasantly surprised.
Room was clean, bed was adequate (not full size double though), owners very friendly as was the dog. Our bed was made up over night & we had clean cups & glasses which is unusual at this price. Quite a quiet street for Blackpool too.....
New Years day we didn't surface till nearly midday, clearly missing breakfast, but we were kindly offered toast, tea & orange juice. On our second day we had double portions to make up for the day before, and I have to say the breakfast was great!
(Think someone has said before, it's a bit like staying at a friends house and I would concur with this)
4 seems a generous score, but I felt 3 was insufficient.
Blackpool has some real dives at this price range ( I have stayed in many of them). This is not & I would definately stay here again

“Cant trust them”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

I booked a tripple room for my family with this hotel over the phone back in July to go to my friends 50th birthday. My full bank details were taken, and I heard nothing else. When I emailed them a few days before my trip to find out about parking, they had no record of me at all and could not remember speaking to me, but he did assure me that no money was taken out of my account. How could he remember that if he could not remember even having a conversation with me? He then gave me a number of a hotel which was round the corner that did not exist. I am highly disgusted at the lack of service and will urge everyone to make sure that when booking with this hotel that you get confirmation via email. Total shambles!!

Room Tip: Non existant

“Can't wait to go back!”

Well finally I'm getting around to writing a review on this little gem of a guesthouse! Firstly, it's right beside the train station (2 min walk) so it was great for us as we flew into Manchester. Secondly, Mike and Steve are the most fantastic hosts!! They were friendly and welcoming and we almost felt sad leaving them. It was like leaving two new friends. We felt like they looked out for us, telling us where to find reputable bars and clubs (all within a 5 min walk from Lynmar). I couldn't possibly say enough nice things about these guys. They made our holiday. Thanks!!
Lynmar is a perfect little place for walking to Blackpool town centre. It is in a quiet residential area so you avoid noise at night. There are so many bars locally, (we LOVED The Flying Handbag with it's friendly staff and fun crowd!) and there are plenty of places to eat. Although, I must say we didn't go for lunch much, being so full after the lovely breakfasts in Lynmar.
We really had planned on going back to Blackpool sooner as we love the place, but whenever we do go, it'll be Lynmar to see Mike and Steve (and Honey the dog!!)

“really enjoyed our stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2010

we booked into the lynmar guest house on a monday to friday break. we were greeted by mike, the owner. he showed us to our room and gave us some information on the local amenities. while the room was not large, it had everything we needed and was very clean. the breakfast was large, and well cooked; no complaints there! the bed was the comfiest we have ever come across in a guest house. all in all we fully recommend the lynmar, and intend to take another breeak there soon. GO!!!
