Booked up last minute to go to blackpool this was the hotel we got,on 1st impression hotel was superb,great location!! However tht was a thursday nite,the friday nite was completly diffrent,was kept awake til 1am with karaoke in hotel bar,then rude guests in the room nect to us started arguin and kept us awake til 2.30,the same guests wer bk up at 7am roaring and shouting again...totally disrespectful!! We went to dinning room for breakfast sat morning and no one could find our table...including a member of staff,we therefore had to go out hotel and pay for a breakfast which was already paid for in hotel!! If i was goin back during week this hotel is ideal but defo not weekends.

nice staff clean rooms lifts to all floors def more for families not for the young. good location next to tower and blackpool tower dungeons a must eat out place is bella italia just round corner. evening meals had two selections though always the same breakie was nice

staff are amazing people very welcoming and always there to help breakfasts are gorgeous although evening meal does not have much choice at all. rooms are perfect size and very clean. the two bar men paul and pavo are really friendly. the entertainer kim is wonderful and we very much enjoyed her singing and karaoke. very much the family type hotel ideal for kids. near tower and beach and sealife. the cleaner angel is always willing to help. the owner ramsay is very welcoming too. lifts to all rooms so ideal for people with disablities and families with young children. 24 hour maccies on corner of street and nice pub called rolys opposite. two chineses round corner and a chip and kebab shop.

This was our third time at the Hollies.There were 3 couples in our party and we all thoroughly enjoyed the break.The staff are both helpful and efficient and extremely pleasant,The food is excellent and plentiful and the rooms are clean and spacious(we were in the superior rooms(well worth the extra 10 pounds a night) The entertainment is hit and miss due to the calibre of the artistes but any entertainment is a bonus.
On the friday night the act was poor but we were told it was a first timer at the hotel so an untested performer.This was counteracted by the superb compere Andy who kept things going and made sure everyone was kept happy and amused.Bravo Andy.Job well done.
In comparison,Saturdays act was brilliant and had everyone going for a full hour and a half.The compere on this night was Wayne.Totally different to Andy. He was rude and arrogant to most people who approached him with requests and generally seemed only interested in putting the guests down anddisappearing for the odd ten minutes to monitor his phone whilst at the reception desk.
As the act overran by 10 minutes Wayne decided not to involve the guests for the remaining hour and a quarter or so and just put a compilation of music on and promptly did his various disappearing acts.
It did spoil our night slightly (and many others as well) buy it wont stop us from going again
