“DON'T Stay Here. NOT CLEAN”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2010

i agree with a lot of what has already been put about this place...
but my own take on it is:
Well out-dated rooms, Basic, cheap tatty furniture. Well worn carpets, as for the beds!?!?! the WORST part all - our beds quilts/sheets looked like the only time they were clean is when they were new. the was a long ladies hair in one of the beds after we checked to see if they had been changed. Also the other single bad had black marks on the outer quilt cover. The quilt itself was yellow (im guessing it was white new),. Didn't dare get into the bed, instead slept clothed on top, with a tshirt over the pillow. and still felt dirty. Was straight in the shower..... once i got home, didnt dare wanna try the hotel one. Breakfast was included in the price, but after the impression the room left there was no way I was gonna have it. Instead took the short walk to McDonald's.
The whole place needs a complete renovation. If u have standards, DON'T Book Here. I wasnt expecting a palace by any means, but this place is the worst hotel, well if u call it a hotel, I have ever stayed in. booked through blackpoolstagparties online or whatever its called, this place cost me £37.50!!! This is the only time i have left negative feedback about any place i have stayed.
The ONLY good things i can say is the tap water was always hot and it is in a good location near the Tower.

“Dirty, dirty, dirty”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2010

we went to the northlands on a stag do. there were 4 people in my room. there were 2 single beds and 1 bunk bed. the sheets hadnt been washed, and the room was in a terrible stat. i slept on top of the quilt cover, i put a t shirt over the pillow and slept in my clothes. and i used my towel as a bed cover. the bunk bed were stupidly noisy, and was held up by a plank of wood in the middle. i didnt even have a shower because i felt i would come out dirtyer. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! it was £38 per person, so that made our bed room nearly £160 per night. What a rip off. i wouldnt have even paid £10. the only good thing was the location.

“Dirty, Cramped & People shouting in early hours!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2010

When we arrives at the Northlands we were greeted with a friendly woman (must have been one of the owners, as didnt introduce herself!). She told us breakfast was 9am-9.30am.. As we needed to leave earlier than that we couldnt benefit from this even though we had paid for it. Used to hotels doing breakfast at 7.30am!!! Wasnt shown to the room, just got told to 'keep going up the stairs til you find it'. Not helpful in the least. In the room, the wardrobe had one handle on the door and rocked when you walked on the floor near it.. The beds had other peoples hairs in (yuk!) and the window was open when we got there, when it was shut there was still a breeze blowing the curtains and could hear everyone who was still out drinking and making noise! Rubbish. Was no bin in the room. Was a spider in the cup that was left for people to make tea in... Cobwebs right across the ceiling. A TV bracket but no TV. Turned heating on n off when they liked (couldnt contol it in the bedroom!). Bathroom: 1 towel, no soap, no bin and half of a toilet roll left! Only good thing was the shower (a few other ppl we went with complained of bad showers - some they had to hold themselves to get washed and some were just a cold drip). Ridiculous place. Also, we arrived back to the hotel after drinks at around 1/2am. A group of lads in the room next to us came in, started knocking on everyones doors and shouting at them to join them in their room. It was a joke. I had a 2yr old girl at home and i thought that it defo wouldnt be a family hotel as advertised as the 'management' didnt pay any attention to these idiots!!!!! After listening to these imobociles for around 45mins i went to first tell them to shut up and then to the 'management' to say they were a joke and they needed to get these idiots told! Oh, and the '24hr reception' was ocked at 8.15am. Nobody around! What a joke this place is!!!! DONT GO THERE

“great value thoughtful management”

I stayed at Northlands Hotel for five nights, Wayne and Tamara were very hospitable.. I paid for a basic single room without facilities: they upgraded me without any extra payment: to ensuite double bedroom with Freeview Tv, coffee & teamaking facilities. the room was a decent size. The bedding & towels were freshly lauundered.

Breakfast was served in the spacious attractive dining room. There was plenty of choice: cereals fruit juice and a full english breakfast plus toast tea coffee etc. Each day I did have the full english breakfast , it was always hot and cooked to perfection. There is also another public room with a Bar and seating areas.

The hotel is very handy for all the attractions and public transport it offers really good
value.

Jim.
