I needed a place to stay in Windermere for one night; most places would only take 3 night bookings during the high season. I was very happy to find the Glen Wynnn Guest House. After traveling for more than 18 hours, I was welcomed with a cup of tea. They carried my bags to my room which was very clean and comfortable. It had an en suite bathroom, television and tea tray. The next morning a traditional English breakfast was provided. They accomodated my vegetarian diet but meat eaters had bacon, ham and sausage on their plates. I recommend this guest house to visitor to the Windermere area.

Very easy to find. Left into Broad Street from the main road through Windermere and up to the top on the left. Free parking outside on the right. David and Simon are very friendly and happy to help with any tourist questions. We had the 'Windermere' room at the top. Very clean with everything you need. Breakfast was just as you would wish from a typical English B & B, plenty to fill you up and more if you wished. I would be very happy to go there again and would be happy to recommend to any of my friends.
