A most pleasing experience in the heart of the Lake District. Booked the Accommodation online which can be, as I have learned to my cost previously can a bit of a gamble.
This guesthouse however was a real find. The owners obviously take a pride in ensuring their guests enjoy their stay.
The rooms are beautifully decorated to an extremely high standard, the bed most comfortable and the ensuite is incredibly good.
There is satellite TV in all the rooms and the hosts provide a lovely courtesy bowl of tea, herbal tea coffee, cocoa and biscuits for their guests to enjoy.
The breakfast is superb, the freshly cooked full English breakfast is highly recommended, there is also fruit juice, fruit segments, cereals, toast in abundance and tea or coffee to be enjoyed.
Breakfast was served in a well-appointed dining area, for me a little early at 08:30 but it does set you up for the day ahead exploring the area.
All in all the Kenilworth is a guesthouse is a credit to the owners Chris and Christine who do strive to make their guests feel special. A credit indeed to the tourism business in the Lake District.
As a canny Scot, I feel that I should mention that the cost of the stay was incredibly reasonable.
Thanks to Chris and Christine, we had a lovely short break in the Lake District.
